Cbrookre you are right and this is why. At the beginning of last year the head of GM said they were not going to use huge discounts, incentives and rebates to sell cars. Well GM carried on with philosophy until the fall. Then they began to back off of their word because the dealer lots were log...
I tried to tell the Camaro guys not to put to much into the November and December sales figures. Why? Because in those months Chevy dumped a massive amount of Camaros on rental lots. Chevy could barely sale them with the huge discounts so they dumped on rental lots.

The comments I read sound a lot like the ones we heard when the 2015 Mustang was introduced.
1. Calm down and wait to see it in person
2. The 2015 and 2016 Mustang both sold over 100k units.
3. People keep saying the Camaro looks better...
First congrats to Ford on selling over 100k Stangs two years in a row.
Second it outsold a new Camaro by over 30k units.
Third Camaro Fanboys should be worried about the Challenger nipping at their heels because Camaro aint gonna catch the Stang.
Fourth don't be fooled by the numbers GM...
Well, it's clear Ford has wrapped things up for the year while Chevy is having a fire sale to get rid of excess surplus.
Mustang has already won the sales crown for the year.

Just checked Autonation Ford in Memphis where I purchased my F-150.
They have two dealerships in Memphis and between the two they have only 13 2016 Stangs and only one is a V8.
