  5. Chassis Stiffening importance...?

there's also the extra load and stress on one part can and often will translate into more stress and load down the line. some of you want to say how its a waste and zero gains and i'm very savvy on cost / gains and handling characteristics, my initial curiosity was on the load transference to...
  6. Chassis Stiffening importance...?

well, i am happy with it but wouldn't mind discussing how the changes to the suspension could be adversely affecting other areas of the car or not. I was definitely going to throw on the strut brace and was considering the IRS rear subframe supports from Steeda. What made me think about this...
  7. Chassis Stiffening importance...?

Running a base EB with some tuning and the suspension from a GT350, brakes also upgraded. Car is mostly a daily driver, not a dragger or a track queen although I intend it to be capable enough for occasional track use if desired. My question is how important is stiffening of the chassis on...

    1991 F150 Flareside Nite edition - 351 on 33s
  9. Ohio CVFab catted downpipe, just a few thousand miles.

When you get ready to ship the dp, lemme know. I'm down for the $200 plus shipping. And you can keep the forscan adapter to sell as I have one. I'm getting really close to buying an ebay catless but I'd rather buy this one from you.
  10. Base '16 EB brakes - quick swap to the 4 piston calipers?

ya, i get it. just found your old post from google searching. weirdly didn't see it searching the forum itself.
  11. Base '16 EB brakes - quick swap to the 4 piston calipers?

caliper hose to brake line you think? surely the brake line is the same. so you think the spindle is different?
  12. Suspension Upgrade for Base Ecoboost on Awful NYC Streets

lower air pressure and more sidewall is the ticket on that thing. i'm on 19s with a full gt350 suspension setup and the central phoenix roads are pretty harsh with my current setup. rode great before on the shitty roads but was a complete boat above 70 prior. no free lunch i guess.
  13. Base '16 EB brakes - quick swap to the 4 piston calipers?

Putting new rotors and pads on, ordering the Power Stop street warriors but wanted to double check if I could just throw on 4 piston calipers in the front with the Power stop reman "caliper & rotor kit" on my current spindle or if it wouldn't bolt on without changing that out as well. I have...
  14. LSPI - EcoBoom - Intercooler

yea, i get that but there's something else that's factored in that is the catalyst? an aggressive tune, maybe a tune that's not taking as much timing out so all coupled together. think i mentioned, i've been running a livernois since day 1 w/ 45k miles currently and have never had a knock, cel...
  15. LSPI - EcoBoom - Intercooler

@Meatball some of the more aggressive tunes are harder on pushing the limits than others. My tunes are from livernois and they also gave me a 100 octane that runs hard. we have 100 octane at the pump not too far from where I work but I've become afraid of pushing it too hard and booming...
  16. LSPI - EcoBoom - Intercooler

we can't just run e85 right. i can search on that. i definitely think the tune (which specifically) is an important part. spent a few in on the phone with livernois, who did my tuning and it really sounds like some of these tunes put the motor on the ragged edge.
  17. LSPI - EcoBoom - Intercooler

Just a quick thought after searching a ton on different topics. With a stock intercooler that heat soaks quick, the timing is pulled as we know which causes power drop. Stepping up to a big intercooler helps lower intake temps which keeps the timing advanced, fuel in it and more power. So...
  18. Phx peeps - cat vs catless and emissions

Anyone running into issues at emissions? They look underneath for cats as far as I know, but are they really seeing them? I assume so. With the catted, as long as it's not throwing codes, should be all good then. Was considering a catless pipe but not sure I want to f with emissions and...
  19. Ohio CVFab catted downpipe, just a few thousand miles.

I wasn't saying ship it for that. I get your costs, i've dealt with the same. I was just saying I'd give you the $200 for it then figure out the rest, another $30 to ship or whatever. Any other way to get it here. I'll see if I know anyone out that way
