  1. Anyone with Forscan in NYC area?

Do yourself a favor and buy the 1 year extended license. It is $10. The software is easy to use no need to know hex decimal stuff. Just enable or disable as needed.
  2. Anyone with Forscan in NYC area?

I have the OBD tool and bought the license. Used it to change my gear ratio after adding a 3.73 rear diff. Also changed some of the annoying chimes and the lighting (fogs on w high beams). Im in Fairfield CT
  3. Pinion Flange Removal/Install

Any advice on how to press the new pinion flange on? I am swapping from a manual flange to an automatic flange. I don't have the install tool recommended in the instructions - I see them online but they are like $150 and I am only gonna use it once.
  4. Fiberglass tonneau speedster style cover - group buy?

Original poster here. It never went anywhere. The company that got the tooling from Neiman Marcus (smc productions llc) never ended up making them. I had spoken to the guy I spoke to there, Anthony, who said they were close to production, but it never happened.
  5. Anyone add an aftermarket intake to their 3.7 with GT Throttle Body

It is running great. No need to get the replacement!
  6. Anyone add an aftermarket intake to their 3.7 with GT Throttle Body

Before I started cutting, I called and found out that the Roush clean air pipe costs $85 and is in stock, so a replacement is only a few days away. The 3" to 3.5" coupler works - but seems less than ideal. The 3" side goes on the clean air pipe... meaning that the outer diameter of the clean...
  7. Anyone add an aftermarket intake to their 3.7 with GT Throttle Body

The Roush clean air tube has an inner diameter at the throttle body that is smaller than the GT Throttle body. Instead of using a reducing coupler (seemed counter productive), I modified the clean air tube of my CAI to match the larger diameter of the GT Throttle body. I used a Dremel to cut...
  8. Bigger cats = more flow but will it throw CEL?

You asked if I noticed any difference with the catted Lethal pipes... I can tell you that the catted mid pipe changed the tone of the exhaust, to a deeper sound. I also like the feel of the pull now, but can't nail that down to any particular component. Basically, your question is tough to...
  9. Bigger cats = more flow but will it throw CEL?

One of the two GT cats is one piece with the header. The other cat is in the mid pipe. There are other options. For example, I have a 2.5" cat back exhaust and I got the lethal performance 2.5" mid-pipe and had a 2.5" cat welded in. No CEL problems. Another option is the solo performance...
  10. Anyone add an aftermarket intake to their 3.7 with GT Throttle Body

I have modified my Roush cold air intake to the GT throttle body. First, I got the shapeways spacer - then ported it to match my ported intake and the GT throttle body. Second, I got a 3.5" silicone adapter to fit on the GT throttle body and connect to the Roush cold air tube. Finally...
  11. Pinion Flange Kit install help

I picked up a factory sealed 3.73 rear differential. They come fitted for the manual transmission. In order to convert for the automatic, you need to remove the pinion flange and install a new one. See Pinion Flange Kit part# M-4851-M8A. Has anyone here made this conversion? I am in the process...
  12. 2011-2014 Mustang GT 80mm TB How-to

2015 GT throttle body Has anyone gotten the 2015 throttle body to work? Is there a tune for it now? I got a free take off from a friend.
  13. Help, trunk latch not working

Southview is right. I got this same advice on a post on a 550 Facebook board. The rear seat back on the driver's side pulls to the side and there is a key receptacle under there that the manual key fits in. That opened the truck. Thanks
  14. Help, trunk latch not working

I can't get into my trunk. The latch seems to be broken. When I press the button on the dash on or the key fob, the lights blink (i.e. signal received), but the latch does not activate (no sound from it at all). Any ideas on how to open the trunk? I know there is a mechanical pull...
  15. Lethal Mid Pipes

Just found out that Solo Performance makes a catted 2.5" mid pipe. They also make a 2.5 cat back system with a j-pipe. I would have gone that route if I had known about it.
  16. 2.5" catted mid-pipe options

Solo Performance apparently makes one. Not CARB compliant, but it will pass emissions and will keep the check engine light off. They make a kick ass exhaust too, that includes a j-pipe to reduce drone.... I probably would have done that set up if I had known about it.
  17. 2.5" catted mid-pipe options

Never found one, so I got the Lethal Performance catless one. Welded in 2.5" cats, bottle resonator, flex section, and coated with a few coats of VHT. Haven't yet updated the MPT tune, but will soon after some data logging.
  18. Fiberglass tonneau speedster style cover - group buy?

I have been looking to find a fiberglass speedster style tonneau cover. I tracked down a contact at the company who partnered with Ford and Nieman Marcus for the special edition mustang shown in the pic below. I spoke to the folks there and they are working on putting together a launch...
  19. convertible wind deflector

I wanted simple. Ultimately, I really like the speedster type tonneau cover. Cervani makes one, but not for our year - I've called them. The Mustang Rocket has one to die for (red pic) - but the rear quarter panels are wider and the trunk lid is different so it would not be plug and play for...
  20. convertible wind deflector

Sorry, have not been on here much lately. To answer some questions about how I made the back seat cover.... here are some pics as I did it. I used cardboard to form a template - on the back side, I form fit it around the seat contours and made extensions that fit into the rear seat belt...
