Your car received both a VA safety inspection and a separate emission inspection. The former is overseen by the state police, and the latter by the Department of Environmental Quality. The Rejection From Testing form has the top cut off in the photo, so I can’t tell if the inspector reported...
I just did a drain and refill on a 5 year/12K GT using the yellow Ford premix. After driving a few miles, the coolant in the expansion tank has a brownish pink color. If I didn’t know better, the coolant looks like it needs to be flushed ASAP.
The heated O2 monitor should complete very soon after starting the engine. No amount of driving will make a difference. The mechanics sound like parts replacers and not diagnosticians, and it's sad that Ford recommends that they start replacing parts. If the vehicle was under the initial...
I had the same symptoms when the car only had 3,000 miles. Rather than having the dealer putz around with it, I replaced the check valve and still had the problem. Thought it was the booster, but I decided to try another check valve and solved the problem. By the way, the only time a booster...
I order a 2017 that went as planed. But, I ordered a 2000 Camaro SS that got a VIN assigned and built, but it sat at the Canadian factory lot. Since it had to go to go to SLP for the minor SS mods, I was able to get updates from SLP to see if it arrived. After more delays, I had to cancel the...
After delivery, I noticed a vibration driving home and called the dealer for an appointment the following week. Drove half an hour to get there, and they inform me that their wheel balancer needs repair. Almost a year later, I make an appointment for a state safety inspection and to see why...
Most states with emissions inspection programs will allow no more than one monitor to be "not ready" before a test can be performed. Your owner's manual has a page instructing you how to perform a readiness test yourself without having to visit a test station. Many canned tunes turn off one or...
I'm having the same issue on my '17 GT auto. Problem started with less than 2000 miles. The issue is intermittent. Sometimes the car can sit for 5 days with no problem. I took the engine cover off to trace the vacuum line to its source, and it disappears under the intake manifold. In...
When the car sits for three days, it takes some effort to depress the brake pedal (A/T) enough to start the car. Vacuum sensor and check valve are fully seated in their grommets. Thinking of replacing the check valve myself to avoid having to leave the car at the dealer.
Has anyone else had...
I have the stock exhaust. After removing the sound tube, couldn't tell any difference in interior noise. Can't figure why Ford goes through the expense to install such a worthless mess.
I feel your pain. I dread having to buy tires since each visit results in a snafu - wheels get scraped, balance is off, wheel lock key gets lost, etc. On two occasions, they have installed tires other that what was ordered.
I can't get the caliper back on the bracket after trying to diagnose a rear brake squeal. (non Brembo) Can't compress the piston - Does it take special tool to move the piston inward?
I searched for DIY posts, but can't find any.
Thanks
