Hey guys. Been noticing a clacking/clunking noise coming form either my trans or my clutch. Sounds like metal hitting metal, almost like something continues rotating or is moving loose and then hitting something within the clutch or trans. I notice it only if I put in the clutch immediately...
Dude, I didn't realize this BR page was even here! I've usually just gone on the technical subforums so never saw this!
I'll try to make it to CC. Might not be able to though :frusty:
Hey all, just found this thread and figured I'd comment so I get updates on it as well as introduce myself.
I'm Sean and I live in BR. I got a '15 DIB GT PP. Maybe some of y'all have seen it around town.
So far I haven't touched my engine, but that's next. I've put on Borla ATAK cat-back...
Thanks for the offer man, but I called AM and an we are swapping for different wheels. I was trying to get the offset right because I don't want to use spacers as I've heard mixed things about them. We will see what happens with this next set.
Hmm.. I did notice an increase in noise after changing my wheels, but I used a torque wrench at 150 lbs ft. I'll try again tonight and see what happens when I go to work tomorrow.
Hey all,
I recently ordered a set of 20x8.5 and 20x10 MMD 551C wheels from AM. I spoke with their online support several times before I ordered. I asked multiple times if first, the wheels would fit my Mustang with the Perf pack brakes, and also to make sure the offset was great enough to...
Hey guys,
I have 28,XXX miles on my Mustang and am getting consistent squealing from my Brembos. Used to be only when I was at low speeds, but now it squeals any time when I depress the brakes to a certain point. After doing some research it seems like this is part of owning performance...
Have you seen any impact in your performance and handling with the spacers? Have you seen any increased wear on your drivetrain parts from them? I like the PP wheels, but I wish they were more spaced out and lined up with the wheel well, but I'm a littler nervous about spacers, even hub centric...
Nope, did not buy a separate warranty. It should be covered by your factory warranty. I would call Ford Customer Service, they're the ones that told me about the warranty. They can put pressure on the dealership. But again, I'm not certain if the factory warranty covers uneven tread wear. Mine...
Well it was a warranty through Ford. Up to 12,000 miles, you get 100% off the cost of tires and I believe labor (the dealership I went to told me not labor and I argued with them to no avail). After 12,000 to some other number you get 60%.
I don't believe that covers uneven tread wear though...
So you were able to get a square stance with 285's on 10"? What size tires did you get? I'm looking to square up my stance with 10" wheels but I just wasn't certain if those would fit the front. I have a 1.1" drop in the front and 1" in the back so nothing too extreme.
Same thing happened to me. I replaced the rears under warranty from Ford, so back with the normal PP Pirellis. That was to bridge the gap so I could get full use out of my fronts as I heard it wasn't a great idea to have mismatched tires (I don't want to stay with Pirellis). Now that the fronts...
