  1. True Flex Fuel Tune

Anyone out here using PCMtec to run true flex fuel. I see Lund, OZ tuning, and PBD are all listed on their website as workshops, but none of the vendors have anything mentioning this yet. This appears to be the ultimate tuning setup. No more flashing, no more testing fuel, just fill up at pump...
  2. Numidia Track Rental 5/5/23

We have a private track rental 5/5/23 9am to 3pm at Numidia Dragstrip in PA. 1/4 mile, two lanes, fully prepped. Rental was $3,000 split 25 ways at $120 per person. 3 of us can no longer make the rental due to either cars not being finished or conflicts in work schedule. If anyone is...
  3. Whipple Cruise Calimer Stage 3 MT-82

Anyone running the stock whipple tune strategy along with a Ben Calimer Stage 3 MT-82 26 spline check to see if cruise control still works? I have a tune file from when I was using PBD to tune my car that was sent to me in .hpt format that have been running with cruise working in all gears. I...
  4. Driveshaft adapter

After having 2 DSS shaft failures, carbon and aluminum 1 pieces, I'm going to switch back to my stock 2 piece in the interim. Does anyone know if someone sells a replacement metal adaptar as an upgrade for the stock front rubber isolator. I came across this online, and wasn't sure if it would...
  5. Aluminator Failure

Hey guys, been awhile since I posted anything. Just wanted to let you know that I found the limits of an 11:1 aluminator. My stock motor failed at 12,800 miles from a snapped crankshaft snout. It was supercharged from day 1 with a whipple gen 2 stage 2. I ended up going with an 11:1...
  6. Whipple tune max rpm

So I'm running a version of the stock whipple tune with some tweaks made in hp tuners. I raised the rpm limit to 8,000 in hp tuners, however I'm unable to get the car past 7800 rpm. I know the whipple guardian/flare has a setting for max rpm which I believe is 7800 rpm. Any ideas?
  7. Drag Radials with MT-82

I know bias plys are preferred for manual cars, but I wanted to get a feel for those running drag radials on stick shift cars. I currently run a big and skinny race star setup with 28x17x10 Hoosiers. Even with 19psi, I don't care for the sway that inherently comes with bias ply. Additionally...
  8. 3.31 MT-82 dyno -5th too much mph

I'm going to be heading back to the dyno first time since installing the 3.31s. I plan on revving to 8,000 rpm, which with a 27.7 inch tire and MT-82 is about 199mph in 5th gear. This high mph seems like flirting with disaster and just asking for a tire to blow out. I was wondering what others...
  9. Help Picking Tires for MT82

Looking for some advice and wisdom! I plan on attending the You Tube Call Out race event October 20th at Maple Grove. This will be the first time the car sees the drag strip. I was able to pick up a pair of Dark Star 17x 9.5 rims on the cheap. Due to other expenses, my budget currently doesn't...
  10. Before You Dyno a Whipple Tune Car

I purchased the HP tuners cable and credits last week and had the car tuned for the headers and cat deletes. Baseline Whipple tune with the 3.625 pulley made 710 hp and 552 ft lbs. With simply turning off the safety features from the Whipple Flare program, we made 786 hp and 592 ft lbs and...
  11. Whipple Fuel Trims

Car hasn't been running too well lately. Way down on power ever since header install. No check engine codes. Brand new NGK plugs gapped at .028. Most recent Whipple tune. 93 octane from 2 different Sunoco stations. I'm awaiting my shop to have an opening to look over everything. In the...
  12. Whipple Flare Record Analyze Feature

With the new flare tool update came additional features such as record and analyze. I've looked through the forums and Whipple's website, but can't seem to find any instructions on how to use these new features. When I hit the record button, the screen just goes black and nothing seems to...
  13. Kooks Headers Magnaflow Comp connection

I just had my kooks headers installed and they go from 3 inch down to 2.5 for the OEM connect. My existing magnaflow comp cat-back is a 3 inch with a 2.5 OEM connect. So basically if I can replace the short 2.5 connection section, I'll be able to run true 3 inch all the way back. Has...
  14. 1st/reverse lockout when COLD

Just wanted to get a feeler out here for anyone else who has experienced occasional first gear and reverse lockout, strictly in cold temps. I picked up my car July 2016 and drove it all though the winter and never had an issue. Ever since 6,000ish miles (new clutch and shifter install), I am...
  15. 3.73 to 3.31 Whipple

I'm looking to swap out the 3.73s with 3.31s in hopes to gain more traction in 1st and 2nd. The car sees too much rain to drive with drag radials on, thus I'm running pure all season street tires, General Gmax AS05s 275/40/19 to be specific. Can anyone who has done this swap provide feedback...
  16. 1st Gear Lock-out after new clutch and MGW

Just had my stock clutch swapped out last week after only 6,300 miles with an Exedy Mach 600 cushion button clutch, Exedy lightened flywheel, stainless clutch line, Exedy throwout bearing, and MGW shifter while the tranny was out. Stock clutch looked brand new, no glazing. There was tiger...
  17. Whipple 25% Flight Control Dyno

Last year we dyno'd the car with the stock stage 2 whipple tune, 93 octane, and made 723rwhp and 560ft lbs on DYNAPACKS. This year we swapped to a DSS carbon fiber driveshaft, did the OPG/CS/ATI and raised the rev limiter to 7,800 rpm. I also had the whipple snorkel installed as well. Just...
  18. Anyone Running 10's stock Whipple tune

Have any of you guys been able to dip into the 10's with the stock Whipple tune and pump gas?
  19. Whipple- Upgrade Suggestions

I'm looking into getting the car ready for the drag strip. I plan on going no more than 1 or 2 weekends a month or 6 to 8 times a year. Other than tires, below are the next batch of mods I plan on purchasing to ensure the car can withstand the abuse/ extend longevity. 1. UPR Whipple catch...
  20. Whipple Service Advance Trac Message

I was driving home from work yesterday in sport mode with advance trac turned off (held it for the 7 seconds) and when making a slow left hand turn my service advance trac message came on. The car felt like it loss power steering shortly after and then the ABS, TC, and wrench icons came on...
