20" American Racing Shelby Rims and Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+.... $1100. Firm as jello. Staggered setup - 20x10 285/30/20 and 20x9 255/35/20. Full disclosure...one of the 9" inch rims dealt poorly with a pothole and was fixed and repainted (very well done, I might add - last pic in post)...

Good advice. Ours get fixed pretty regularly but there are soooo many of them it's damn near impossible to get them all. How they missed the crater I drove into is a mystery. :shrug:

My municipality used to reimburse for damages caused by potholes assuming that a complaint was made prior to any damage to your vehicle and nothing was done to fix it within 15 business days. Now they no longer even pretend to care and basically tell you to pound sand when you call to complain...

I had about a half of a second to brace myself but not enough time to do anything else. I was changing lanes from right to left to get out of the way of a merging big rig and my attention was on the truck to make sure it didn't kill me. Didn't notice the crater in the road until it was way too...

Oh I know can get the rim fixed, but it'll cost $200+ so I might as well just get a new one for only 1/3 more. The tire's trashed and flat at this point. New is $240. I'm figuring $600 for the whole shebang. Ouch.

It nearly sent me into the concrete divider. Fortunately I was close to home - tire went flat about ten minutes after it happened.

It's times like these that you begin to wonder on the origin of words. For example, the word "potholes." According to pothole.info, it's "where a river or stream has cut a similar hole in the bed, about the size and shape of a cooking pot." Yes, there is a site called pothole.info. Lol...

I went with the DDX9904S. It's a non-nav head unit. Can't really comment on too much else since I don't actually own any of them but I can't imagine functionality and options are all that different between models at the same pricepoints.... Jeff

Hey! So far the Metra kit is as advertised. Everything works without any hitches going on a month now. I agree the Scoshe kit looks a bit more polished but I haven't seen many good reviews of the HVAC capability/reliabiltiy (not saying there aren't happy people out there...just going on what...

Took a chance and tried to fit where I didn't belong at about 35mph -- tore up my rims on a curb on the passenger side. Felt every spoke thump along the cement. It was so bad I didn't even want to take a picture. They're getting repainted now. $400. :frusty:

So far, so good. Back up camera is great, steering wheel controls work as advertised, HVAC functions like it should. Only thing I have yet to remember to check is whether climate controls go on with remote start. I will try again tomorrow morning since I'm a little lazy right at the moment...

This is exactly what I did using Focals for the doors and the rear deck. I did a five channel Kenwood amp at the same time and about 6 months ago added a 10 inch JL Microsub. Sounds awesome even with the stock head unit. Friday I'm having my installer put in a Metra dash kit and a Kenwood 7...
