I would do the bushings. I think they have a tolerance some more then others. You can request to have the driveshaft replaced. As far is the clacking I get that's from the front area when shifting and specially low speeds. That's why it's in the shop atm.. Once again. I've complained about this...

Parks Ford gave me the run around. Auto Nation Brooksville took strings to be pulled to finally replace the driveshaft. Now it's at Flammer Ford for the clutch noises between shifts and throw out bearing, it's been sitting three days haven't even looked at it.

Mine was doing the same thing. 16 Gt performance pac. Dealer found excessive play. Replaced driveshaft two months after purchasing the car new.
