The vehicles are driven from the factory to storage lots then to shipping locations, sometimes driven on and off different shipping vessels to filter vehicles to their individual destinations. 9 miles is fairly normal.
Its hard to see in the video but the excavator actually hit the height sign. Found a better picture of it from AZ DOT's twitter feed. The bridge is bent now.
Reviving this thread for a close call I had today with an excavator that hit a bridge as I was passing it. My mustang is about as clean as my shorts right now.
Ambrotos, I am in Texas. From what I have read AAA (my insurance) is a bit more willing to work with their own customers. It's probably a bit of luck on the adjuster/estimator that I get as to how it goes. My insurance isn't impressing me currently with pushing my initial request off to Geico...
Thanks, I am currently leaning towards AMM collision off Ed Blusetein Blvd based off reviews, distance and location. Driving across town to South Austin multiple times may be more painful and time consuming than dealing with the insurance representatives.
Well this is going to be fun. When I called my insurance (AAA) they setup a claim with Geico on my behalf. I went along with it, talked to Geico on the phone and just got back from their estimate which includes repairing not replacing the bumper and aftermarket vs OEM parts. I'm not going with...
Thanks everyone for the replies. I started a claim with my insurance. I also put the Mustang on stands so I could get a closer look at everything. I couldn't see anything off underneath but did spot some alignment issues with the trunk and fender so no telling what the collision shop will find...
I have been googling this for a while now. It looks like my best option is to contact my insurance (AAA). As I understand it, I can get a quote somewhere, my insurance pays for repairs and sends a demand letter to the Volvo driver. Then the Volvo driver has the option to pay or use their...
So I was rear ended in the Mustang today. This is new territory for me so I want to make sure I am doing stuff correctly. 19 years of driving and the only time I have had to call insurance was over a blowout that tore up the side of my truck.
Basically coming out of a parking lot making a...
That was my hope, make him think twice. Maybe it will keep him from doing it and causing a car full of kids to go off the road. Maybe it won't make any difference. Anyways its done and over with, I am just sharing a video of an idiot for everyone's enjoyment.
Missed me by inches.
Truck though he could push me off the road, ended up splitting the lane between me and another vehicle. He is probably used to people moving out of his way, I tend to stand my ground.
Skip to 1:36 unless you like watching left lane campers getting passed.
Here is a closeup until I have a chance to wash the car. I need to check out the mark on the left and right spoke, I didn't see it till I looked at this picture. Hopefully its just the packing material since this was right after install.
Well the stuff on the left wiped off but the mark on...
I installed a set of these yesterday and the pony center cap from the PP wheels fits and looks much better than what it came with. There is however, a small amount of play with the caps installed. It didn't feel like they would work loose on their own but I could move the cap and produce a...
It depends on your luck. I had mine listed for free for several months and had a few interested people but none followed through. Then I listed it on craigslist for $100 and sold it for $80.
I went with a 3 ton aluminum 4-18.25 inch jack, 4 6 ton stands and Steeda jacking rails. The jack is sufficient to pickup an F-250 diesel from the front axle or the entire side by the frame with 100 gallons of fuel on board. On the Mustang, there is plenty of room to roll around underneath and I...
I hate the idea of fuse taps, so I am thinking of utilizing some of the blank spaces in the factory fuse block. Short of buying a used fuse box off ebay for parts, does anyone recognize the pins Ford is using? They are through hole but friction mount which is disturbing. Specifically I am...
