I'm curious, is the Mustang sales numbers worldwide? Camaro is basically only sold in the US. Does Ford release the US Mustang sales?

Manuals are definitely not making a comeback. They're still holding on, but the sales of manual transmission cars continues to drop.

No doubt...they're allowed to fudge up or down 1% in the states. When Chevy said 455, it was basically that. Same goes for Dodge and Ford. Some manufactures like BMW, do not adhere to SAE and can fudge all they want, but if they fudged the numbers up they would open themselves up for a lawsuit.

It's cute how you're fudging the Mustang numbers up and the Camaro numbers down. The SS usually puts down over 400whp, 390 is considered pretty low...405-410 is the norm - as shown by numerous tests. There are some outliers above 415 and below 400, but they're just that - outliers.

In what lap does the GT350 overheat? Not enough coolers I suppose. The only Z06 that had serious overheating issues is the one that Car and Driver crashed and the intercooler pump wasn't working properly. Read the article, the raced the ZL1 all night long and it never slowed down...

Camaro has more reinforcement than a Mustang, it's chassis is is the benchmark in the segment, I'd say that puts it above the Mustang, since it has never been the benchmark. Ford got to a 33k price point by yanking options and creating a package most people don't want. They saved on R&D too...
