Ah, OK. My thought on the limitation was that it was in software. If it's just isolating the front port by disconnecting it, that's an easy enough workaround.

Ah, OK. That's not horrible then. It does seem like a weird and capricious limitation, but meh...

Been reading the thread, but I'm not entirely sure on the answer to this... Is the 2 port USB port good to go for the upgrade or is it just the single port HU5Z-19A387-A?

Went on with no problem. Used a strap-wrench to tug it the fraction of a turn it needed to make everything line up and it's been perfect ever since. No loctite, reverse lockout fits. Great shift knob.

Is crooked. Needs a little tweaking.

No rattles on my Lathe Werks knob either.

I haven't had any issues with the Lathe Werks knob I have. It screwed down to the right height almost perfectly and just needed a little tug with a strap wrench to line up the engraving. No rattle at all.

It's in gunmetal and is a much deeper blue-gray than the pictures indicate. Goes really well with the dash on my GT.

Got my LatheWerks custom shift knob in yesterday and installed it. Very happy. I've got an actual write up with real numbers and some better information, but I can say it's darn pretty.

At this point, I'm pretty sure that if you idiot-proof anything, the universe just builds a better idiot to get around it.

Howdy. New 2016 GT Premium (PP) owner here. Had the car about two months. Should get the first round of cosmetic mods in next week and in another month or so start on the performance stuff. Wanted to get a feel for the Mustang so I'd have a better idea of what I'd want to swap.

Well, this thread got me through a two hour phone meeting on HR's new employee annual review process AND I'm going to start saving my pennies to order bags. Now to find an installer in my area...
