I just experienced this on my 16 PP GT today at Sebring. I ignored it.. Hit OK and backed off the lap times a bit. After 3 more laps I got a new error that had a wrench on it and said consult manual.?
I pitted that lap and let the car sit and cool off. After 10 min I still had the Real axle...
Yes, it had a bit of work done to it. Most of the PCA cars there were not stock. The had suspension- Camber- tire upgrades. The Red on in front of me also had some minor engine work done.
I ran both Carbontech and Porterfields on my Chumpcar E30.. I could get 26 hours of track time on the Carbontechs and 18 hours on the Proterfields. But the Porterfields were almost 40% cheaper. So for the 14 hour races I would use them..
I just ordered a set of of the Porterfields for my 2016...
Looks like you had a good time. I had to pass due to the car still up on the lift waiting for the Steeda rear camber kit to come in.
I then need to get it corner weighted and aligned.
So do you feel the splitter and the rear Spoiler helped?
What was the car in front of you on the video?
I just...
You will need Camber plates. The front tire outer edges will get destroyed without them. I ran my 2016 GT PP car 100% stock at sebring and it did well except for the front tires.
It now has been upgraded. Front Brake pads from porterfield. Roush 3 way Coil overs.
Steeda IRS anti hop kit.
We...
I just ran my 2016 PP GT out at Sebring 100% stock. I was hitting 120 to 128 on the 2 main straights. I was only going about 80% out.. I know this track and have spent many hours on it. The car did quite well except for outer front tire wear.
For my next event I am adding Coil overs - Camber...
I just ordered a set of Endurance track pads from Porterfield.
For the RC719 Brembo 6 piston brakes.
T 43 is the compound. $399 A bit cheaper than the Carbontechs.
I have use both brands on my E30 Chump car. the Porterfilds last about 80% of what the Carbontechs. at $699 for the Mustang.
I agree 100%.
I did just this. Ran a PBOC event at Sebring with a GT PP that was 100% stock. I didnt push it so I was not concerned with the Brakes.
After 1 day of 4- 25 min sessions the left front tire outer edge is 1/2 gone. The car defiantly had understeer.
I have another event at...
I have used Carbontech and Raybestos for 12 to 24 hour endurance races in a BMW E30
The Carbontech were the most $$ but I could get over 24 hours on One set in the fronts.
The Raybestos were about 35% less and would last about 18 - 20 hours. So for the 12 to 14 hour races we ran the Raybestos. I...
I have 19x10s for the track using the stock PP rims for street.
Going to go with 275s all the way around. I was under the impression that 285s would need to be spaced out for the fronts.
I think I will go with RE 71 R tires or Dunlop Star specs.
After you receive opinions here are some links go help you put all the data together.
My opinions are at the bottom:
Link about sway bars. http://speed.academy/how-swaybars-work/
The main thing to get opinions on this Forum will be how big and how much sway bar in the rear...
You now have a list.
go to the vendors site and research the Why.
Because there also may be more than one why.. If one uses a car for drag racing vs track days.
You are the only one that can determine where you feel your car needs improvement.
Some people like oversteer. Some are scared by...
What are you doing with the car? is it a DD? will it be used on the track?
If you are doing track or Auto X. If so a Square set up and camber.
I have a PP car and ran it on the track with no issues other than camber.
The IRS kit is on my to do list. And I have the Roush coil over kit ready to go...
