When I bought my ā16, I followed the advice on the forums to have the dealerships leave the splitter off and put it on myself which was wise. I followed that strategy again and at least made it home before my first scratch.

I got black flagged twice at Laguna Seca:
1st time baffles open 4000 rpm 4th gear 96 dB
2nd time baffles closed 4500 rpm 4th gear 94 dB
Both at about 1/2 throttle. It was a 92 dB day, about 70 degrees. These cars are pretty loud and it is tough not to nail it between 5 and 6.
