Yeah, because the filter removes particles, but it doesn't replenish the additives or remove the gasoline from the oil. I mean, 125k? I see it being possible, sure. The lubricative properties of oil doesn't go away just because the additives are gone. But the engine sure isn't going to like it!

Yep. Engineers can design the perfect car. Noiseless, vibrationless, safe, 1,000 HP, easy to drive, comfortable, but holy hell that car will NOT be cheap!

The car's computer is programmed to a 10,000 mile OCI. Go to Settings > Vehicle > Oil Life Reset and it shows you a percentage in accordance with a 10k OCI. Actually a little above, I think.

I've also been reading a decent bit on longer oil change intervals, and I've come to the conclusion that given modern oils and oil additives and modern engine building tolerances, I could even see oils that last for 50,000 miles if it wasn't for catalytic converters and their aversion to ZDDP...

I'll probably send it in, I'm curious to see how the oil looks. Modern oils are much better than people make them out to be.
  7. Did my first oil change I4 2.3L.

Hey guys, just did my first oil change with my EB Mustang. Did it at 9200 miles and 3 track days. The oil still looked good, obviously it was dark but I would probably have no issue going even 15,000 miles on it. The drain plug (which, sadly, doesn't appear to be magnetic) was clean as well...
  8. Ford Racing Tunes

Thanks, I had been wondering about the news for the tuner. Couldn't find anything on a search. Hopefully it'll feature gains similar to the FoST, 30hp/90tq. Gains of 30/hp/20tq would be entirely unimpressive, but I'd be more than happy with gains similar to the FoST FRPP tuner. Big issue...
  9. Ford Racing Tunes

Hey, wasn't Ford Racing going to come out with warranty-friendly tunes for the 2.3 EB Mustang, similar to the setup for the Focus ST? Supposedly they should be just around the corner, but I haven't heard any news. What gives?
