Just wondering if anyone is using this Watson Harness Lap Belt Mount?
https://shop.watsonracing.com/HARNESS-LAP-BELT-MOUNT-p/wr-harnessmnt.htm
It doesn't address the sub-belts, but I wonder if they could be attached to this somehow too?
Anyone have the part number of the plastic canister that the new cartridge style filter goes into? I'm not talking about the whole conversion kit, but just need the part number of the black canister component.
Thanks in advance!
The weather was just fair enough that I was able to get her out tonight, and I am very happy to report that the rattle is now GONE! It was the push pins all along.
Well how about that... The 2 front most push pins on the driver side were just dangling loose. I pushed them back in and fully expect that was what I was hearing. The weather is too nasty here right now for a test drive.
I did notice after pushing them back in, that if I grabbed the rocker and...
Hmm.. I have noticed a similar sound at about the same MPH. I will have to check this! It sort of sounds like something loose inside the door. Thanks for the heads up!
I installed the Steeda clutch spring last night, and to mirror what several others have stated, it now feels correct. Everything is just more engaged and I feel more connected to the drive train.
So with my compliments in place, I am curious to know what the downside is? Any ideas? Any facts...
I was wondering this exact thing as I assume most A/C compressors won't last long at 8200. I know in Corvettes the A/C automatically shuts off at a certain RPM for this very reason.
A couple of weeks ago I watched this completely stock 2016 GT350 run 168 MPH in the standing mile at the Big Blue Mile in Nebraska.
Watch how lighting fast he is shifting!!
For those of you who have attended the Track Attack program, can anyone share how they are mounting the lap harnesses and submarine harnesses to the car? Pics even?
Did they just drill holes and put in eye bolts? Or do they have some no-drill solution?
Assuming they are running 6-point...
I'm having a hard time believing this is authentic when there are glaring spelling errors like "2018 SHELBY GT350 PROUCT CHANGES". What the heck is a "prouct"? ;)
Those clips look great. The one question I do have about them.. Is there any risk of them rotating when the lap belts get pulled? Also, do you have a solution for the sub belts? I guess that was 2 questions! Thanks.
I also don't have either of these bars, but from looking at the Watson install instructions, the rear down tubes do go to the floor of the car directly above a reinforced beam that runs from left to right. This looks pretty good to me...
:)
What solutions are there for mounting the lap belts and sub belts? I know Cooltech had some nifty clips for the Boss 302, but I have heard there isn't enough room in the GT350 to use these clips. I'd prefer a clip solution like this to avoid drilling through the floor for a couple of eyebolts...
Do the stock wheels have metal or rubber valve stems? If they are metal there is a nut on the inside of the wheel that can come loose with vibrations. I had one come loose on a different car and the nut rolled around inside the wheel as it turned, making the exact sounds and symptoms you guys...
