  1. A sad day... RIP GT350

That's a bummer. I did that once but was on a an almost level street, came back to find the car gone because it got towed after rolling into the middle of the street. I usually park with the car in gear and the ebrake pulled tight, but that night I somehow forgot to do either before leaving it.
  2. It's a sad day

I agree, sadly all too often who is in the right depends on who has the better lawer. Nothing is cut and dried, getting rear ended even with a witness telling the truth won't guarantee justice will be done for the guy who got rear ended.
  3. Jack / Jack Stands ?

In your picture, both wheels are off the ground though, so half car is up, but the force that is pushing the the entire half is concentrated at the passenger rear corner. That puts a twisting force on the chassis. It can probably take it without taking on a permanent twist, but why risk it...
  4. 2019 GT Rattle

In my cars that rattled, they tend to rattle more in cold weather. The cold causes parts to contract and opens up gaps that cause the rattles. Have you tried driving with the A pillar cover off, or while driving with it off, have someone push on different areas in the opened A pillar to see if...
  5. Insurance costs

All you can do is shop around. Rates can vary a lot even between different areas in the same state. Mustangs are very expensive to insure where I am, at least the GT is, not sure of the EB. Maybe they just crash a lot more than lower powered cars, wish I knew the statistics on this. If you...
  6. 2018 4 in Screen Upgrade ?

Scoche makes a kit as well. Both have mixed reviews on functionality and reliability. A forum member here has a business that sells the kit using original Ford parts for a little lower price than the above mentioned source and it seems original Ford is the most problem-free way to get a big...
  7. 2017 Base mustang Gt to Premium package. Is it possible ?

One potential down side to spending $15K on upgrades is your insurance probably won't cover it unless to get a special policy rider somehow and pay more, since your book value will still be for a base model. I can see wanting to keep the base though, if it's been reliable I wouldn't want to...
  8. 2019 base Mustang gt questions

Keep in mind a lot of times when manufacturers including Ford offer low rate financing, it disqualifies some other dollar incentives. Sometime, as is the case now I think, they will offer low rate plus throw in a smaller dollar incentive, just not as much as the dollar incentive without the...
  9. Still not sold?

I know this is an old post, but want to add some info for anyone getting here on a future search... Some banks do have a cut off on how old a new car can be to qualify for their new car loans. I was surprised by this, and just found out recently when I applied for a loan. Maybe most banks do...
  10. First Long Road Trip was Great- 2018 GT

Thanks for the report. A lot of it sounds like my trip home from the dealer, except my trip home when I first picked up my V6 was only about 450 miles and mostly highway driving. I'm surprised you got a measured 30 MPH when EPA only estimates 24 highway. My mostly highway trip got, with a V6...
  11. Had fun, thanks for the good time!

They hardly ever get bad evaporators, leaking windshields or rear glass, ticks from scored cylinder walls, broken shift folks, or rattles that rhyme with bumps on the road. They don't give that satisfying shove in the back when the pedal hits the metal, but there's a lot to be said for...
  12. Is the B&O worth $2,100?

If BLIS works the same on Mustang as my 2017 Sorento, it will light up like yours did in the same condition, and will beep only if I activate the turn signal on the same side as the passing car. In this way BLIS is pretty unintrusive. The system in Sorento is supposed to take the speed of...
  13. Is the B&O worth $2,100?

I'm surprised to hear that. I have a 2017 Kia Sorento and it never gives these false alerts. I would've thought MB and BMW would have better performing systems, despite some Kias now have former BMW and Audi design and engineering talent behind them. My Sorento gives very reliable warnings of...
  14. Private cash - person vs household

Here's the fine print from a Private Cash offer I got last April 4 "*2017/2018/2019 vehicles: $1,000 on F-150 and Super Duty. $750 on most Ford or Lincoln vehicles. Not available on Ford GT, F-150 Raptor, Focus RS, Mustang Shelby® GT350/350R and 2018 Lincoln Navigator. May not combine with other...
  15. Automatic COTUS Checker

Is this site working for anyone else? I've been trying it with 2018 and 2019 VINs over the past couple of days and it keeps saying it can't find my VIN and to check with the dealer for status. Getting same result with Firefox and Chrome.
  16. 2019 Mustang Orders Placed Thread (Vote/Share Here)

Only the dealer knows their true cost, the invoice is only one part of the equation. But it doesn't really matter, the dealer will try to make as much on a sale as they can and we the buyer will try to pay as little as we can. It pretty much comes down to how much we're willing to pay and how...

  18. Upgrade my 16 or trade for an 18?

If your '16 is reliable, I would not get rid of it. Once the thrill of having an '18 wears off, you will probably question or even regret throwing thousands $$$ into the change, especially if you turn out to be one of the unlucky few to get an unreliable '18. Your 0% loan on the '16 is free...
  19. 2019 New 6-speed Owner...Can I talk about the clutch please...

There're a few threads around here about loose or substandard connection of the hydraulic clutch line at where it connects to the brake booster. Steeda makes a fix for it if I recall. Air was getting in the line and that was causing inconsistent clutch actuation at times, and that could...
  20. NEVER Factory order a Mustang

One other thing I would add to the list is: you don't mind buying a car that probably has been test driven, since nowadays most dealers treat any can on the lot as a "demo." For the younger folks out there, demos were what we called cars used by the dealers specifically for test drives, and...
