Am I to understand that the only difference would be not having wifi updates, the rest will work as if it was factory sync 3?
A concern is that while app developers continue to update and drop support, so will your head unit. I believe a unit that does nothing but Android auto or Apple car play is a better approach.
Has any unit, moddiction or anything, mentioned support for Android auto or Apple car play? Bells and whistles of these systems are somewhat cool, but the ability to keep an updated interface with auto/carplay is superior.
So looking at ~2200 to go from base to Sync 3 it sounds like then. I'll have to keep an eye on this. Really my main thing I want is Carplay/Android auto.
