Nice choice. I'm kicking around giving "blue" to the wife to drive and picking up an '18 in Race Red or yellow. Won't be until next spring/summer year if I do it.
Don't know how accurate they are and thought the same thing. 100lb difference is only 2.5% deviation. We know it's in the ballpark . Cars aren't getting much lighter though with larger wheels, brakes, safety features, you name it.

Always been a Mustang fan and the 1LE does intrigue me somewhat. This would cause me some concern though just perusing that site. Don't know how widespread it is.

Congrats on the car but just comparing the photos of yours and the PP2 Mustang I don't see that much difference in wheel gaps. I get it, we all have our reasons for justifying a purchase. Personally I just chalk it up to personal preference and call it a day. Anyway, enjoy the car!
If you have to justify owning a Mustang based on how often it will be used, any car for that matter, then maybe save the cash. While I take it to work occasionally it's not my main DD. I have three other cars for that duty. When I worked from home my GTI rarely left the garage except weekends...
