  1. I love this car.

I fucking love this car. 15 EB PP MT OW I bought it because I wanted a successor to the car I learned to drive on, a 1990 BMW e30. I wanted a two door, RWD, stickshift car with IRS. The 6g stang fit the bill perfectly. Enough power to break the rear wheels free when the light turns...
  2. My car (manual) is subtly rev-matching.

No worries at all glad we got it all clearly communicated. And yes, add me to the list of people interested in a way to turn this off. :)
  3. My car (manual) is subtly rev-matching.

Ok I made a terrible video by taping my phone to the dash. In the video at 00:06 I am in 1st gear at 4000 rpm. I clutch in, shift to neutral, and take my foot off the gas, all at about the same time. The revs fall slowly (as always) but then hold at 2750 rpm. There they remain for about one...
  4. My car (manual) is subtly rev-matching.

I'm happy to call it something other than a rev match. But it's definitely separate from the generically hanging revs that happen all the time in this car. It's a precise match of the engine speed to the car speed for the next gear up. The match holds for about one second. It only happens on...
  5. My car (manual) is subtly rev-matching.

Observing the behavior of my car and acknowledging is hardly believing in ghosts. I agree with you that "Rev Matching" is a confusing term here because it can be confused with the more noticeable rev-matching that some cars do on downshifts (370Z etc). But it's clear that the car is matching...
  6. My car (manual) is subtly rev-matching.

I don't think it is subtly rev-matching. I notice that it is subtly rev-matching. I've observed in repeated tests that the revs hold for about one second at the perfect speed for the next gear. No one would notice this unless they were trying to execute the fastest and smoothest skip-shifts...
  7. My car (manual) is subtly rev-matching.

I think you are conflating two separate things. 1) the revs fall slowly because of emissions considerations. 2) the car holds the revs steady for a second or so at a perfect rev-match for your next year. The first is a symptom of ETC and emissions considerations. The second is a driver aid...
  8. My car (manual) is subtly rev-matching.

I hadn't found that thread when I was looking for any reference to this, thanks for pointing it out! Glad to hear that some others have noticed it and I'm not just crazy. I did take a video of it but it's too shaky to be of any use so I won't bother posting. I'll add my voice to those that are...
  9. My car (manual) is subtly rev-matching.

I have noticed that revs generally hang on the eco and fall slowly. In fact, I've pointed it out in threads here before. But this is entirely separate. The revs fall, indeed slowly because it's an eco, and then they stop falling and hold for a second or so at what would be a precise rev match if...
  10. My car (manual) is subtly rev-matching.

I've tested this several times now and I'm finding that my 2015 Mustang Ecoboost PP MT is actually subtly rev-matching on upshifts. For example, if I'm buzzing along at 4k rpm in second gear and I want to skip third and go to fourth gear, I put the clutch in and go to neutral and the revs fall...
  11. EcoBoost PP tires and winter driving

I have the same problem. My understanding is that 18 wheels will fit, but not 17. There are some winter tires available for 18s but not as great a selection as for 17s. My plan is to get a set of 18 wheels and winter tires .
  12. Is your mustang your daily driver?

Me too! Well, I haven't gotten it yet but it will be.
  13. Any negative comments toward your Mustang?

Only negative comments I've seen are from Mustang owners on this forum that don't like the Ecoboost. Or the Manual. Or others that don't like the auto. The closest I've gotten to negative comments from outside this forum are concerns about fitting child seats in.
  14. A fully paid of Mustang will NEVER be all yours!

This is one more reason to not buy GM cars.
  15. What make you consider 6g Mustang?

This car has it all. Two doors. Three pedals. RWD. Rear-facing infant seats.
  16. Performance difference worth it?

It sounds like you want the GT. And I think you should get the car you want. What video games are you playing? I also play video games as a hobby, but If I had to pick between expensive video games and the car I really want, I would take the car in a heartbeat. That said, it's hard for me to...
  17. Which one should I get help me out

I think the GT is the unqualified best option if power is important to you. It's more powerful in stock form. It's more powerful in modded form. Some people compare a tuned EB with exhaust and intake to a stock GT but I don't really think that's a relevant comparison because the stock GT still...
  18. How long until 3.7 v6 and coyote replaced with ecoboosts?

I think the V-8 will still be around for a long time in the Mustang. If it can survive the 70s, it can survive CAFE and foreign displacement taxes. The fact that Ford is using boosted engines in the Ford GT and Raptor is not necessarily indicative of their plans for the Mustang because those...
  19. Camaro Watch: Revealed Early

When I first saw the 2015 Mustang I didn't like it, but it grew on me. Maybe this Camaro will do the same? It has a lot of growing to do though.
  20. Engine cover or no engine cover

My vote would be for off if it serves no functional purpose. I've never liked all the cosmetic plastic cladding inside modern cars.
