IMO NEVER pay for something you aren't COMPLETELY satisfied with. If you've waited this long you can wait some more. Tell the dealer you don't want it you want another ASAP have them pull a trade with another dealership or walk. No way you pay all 35k+ on a car and it isn't EXACTLY what you want.
They can smell your love for this car. Hell I can just reading it. Sales guys prey on emotion. (I had to do sales training YEARS ago and it is part of it.) Email 5 or 6 dealers tell them what you want and what you're willing to pay BEFORE any incentives 750 coupons etc. Then WAIT!
You have...
Sorry to hear. Honestly one of the first things I learned in car buying is not to leave the lot until it is like you want it. Even if it means waiting a day or two for them to get stuff in.
Enjoy your new Dodge. But I might wait on the camaro
Why 40k? Are you not doing X-plan? And if not why not, its $40 or 50 bucks to save thousands. I built one that is 37500 that has redline PP & enhanced security. If I didn't get anything else off add 1200 for Tag Title Tax and doc fees its still less than 39. :)
Phases no doubt. With mine I'm setting aside a budget to start. Then over time building into the other things I want. My biggest thing is doing the most with my money. So with the first 2k I plan on splitting between cosmetics and performance mods. Then over time adding more expensive stuff...
The money you spend getting it shipped shouldn't be much more than driving it. Not to mention driving it back would be more fun. Have you thought about ordering one, then using Xplan etc to get a better deal?
I was going through this battle last yr. I wanted a "Toy" but hadn't paid off my car (2011 Jetta) yet. So I increased the Amount I was paying every month on the car by $100 (payment was 380 and I was already paying 400 a month). Then I started saving 150 a week for my car down payment. After 6...
1250 Under X Plan with only 100 in Doc Fees seems pretty good to me. Is it? With 1250 Below X Plan I'm looking at 37500 or 37600. With all fees Tag Title Tax.
Joined MCA Sunday. Will Order right before the 500 rebate from Ford Expires. Also planning to ask for one of the 750 ford cash coupons. If I get it that puts me under X-plan by 1250 (Basically TT&L). So my OTD should be about 37500-600.
No I read them. I'm saying from my vantage point. It is worth it to me. You said in one of your posts that you aren't building a PP. You are going to do what you want.
Again when I read the post I immediately thought hey to me its worth it let me say why.
That is YOUR car. You make the...
Here's the problem IMO. The PP is cookie cutter. So for someone like me to get what I want (brakes radiator rear end) I have to get somethings I don't want (wheels, springs, swaybars).
So sell off the things that you don't want (because someone on the forum wants them at a discount). Put that...
Thing is someone like me isn't mechanically inclined. Don't have the needed tools or access to lifts etc. So installing gearing, brakes (Reason #1 for the PP for me) larger radiator (I will be in Texas and Oklahoma with the car) make it worth it. The Brembo brake package from FRPP by itself...
