  1. Clutch Spring Reduced Poundage No Pedal Lag -- Installed and Tested

So the ebay link I sent is a bit snug on the assembly (http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B003XEW4WM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00). It will require a bit of modification but if you stretch the bottom and top ring just a hair, it fits on perfectly. I am also removing a ring to...

  3. V6 PHOTOS- all colors, stock or modified

final detailing before winter storage Sad it is time to put her away for a few months... but it saves it from the salt here. I have to keep reminding myself that it is worth it.
  4. How old are S550 owners? What cars have you owned so far?

32... 1986 Ford Mustang trunk back, 3 Speed Auto, 4cyl, white 1985 Ford Mustang hatch back, 5 Speed Manual, 4cyl, midnight blue (engine from car above... tranny blew and found a doner car that needed an engine) 2004 Dodge SX 2.0 (Neon), 5 Speed Manual, 2.3L 4Cyl, dark blue 2006 Ford Mustang, V6...
  5. If you have the manual S550, remove the clutch spring. Instructions linked

Yeah, watched his review before I got the car. Not sure what to say... perhaps some will like the spring in. But I can confirm by having the spring out, the car performs more like a mustang should (and as you would expect). Maybe going from the harder ecoboost clutch to the v6 made it feel...
  6. Clutch Spring Removal to Aid in Linear Pressure

non-gt. Just the 4.0L V6 with the 5-speed. Was a great car but my 2015 is so much better... with the exception of that clutch spring which has been removed :)
  7. If you have the manual S550, remove the clutch spring. Instructions linked

The feeling with the V6 clutch spring is horrible. As others have said, having the spring out makes the car 100% better to drive. There is some worry about the clutch not returning fully off of engagement as it does sag about 1/2" but I can't detect any unnecessary wear through the feeling of...
  8. Clutch Spring Removal to Aid in Linear Pressure

Hi All, I pulled my spring several weeks ago (2015 v6 3.55 rear end) and have much better shifting because of it. I was getting worried though about all the talk about the spring forcing the petal up so I went out and toyed with it and with mine, there is definitely about 1/2" of play that I...
  9. V6 PHOTOS- all colors, stock or modified

The dealer took care of it from the start. We walked around the car at delivery and despite my excitement, I was able to identify the issues that I could see. We identified the hood alighnment, a small gap on the passenger side bumper where it meets the headlight, and a small scratch in the...
  10. V6 PHOTOS- all colors, stock or modified

My latest addition to the car Finally got around to installing the 50th anniversary grille in my V6. Love the look. Also got all the body panel issues resolved with the dealer (very few issues, but they did everything and more). I am so in love with this car.
  11. V6 Clutch Spring

You can always put it back in if you're careful and don't break the clips... but you will never ever want to. The force is next to nothing of an increase and wouldn't take much to get used to it. Even on the first drive your shifts will be much better though due to the feeling of the clutch, and...
  12. V6 Clutch Spring

Hi Everyone, For all you V6 manual transmission owners... if you find your shifts a bit rough and you haven't pulled out that clutch spring yet... do it! I just did this on my S550 V6 and it is 100% better. I thought I was starting to go crazy as the shifts were always inconsistent. It was...
  13. Clutch Spring Removal to Aid in Linear Pressure

I just did this on my S550 V6 and it is 100% better. I thought I was starting to go crazy as the shifts were always inconsistent. It was very easy to remove with the methods mentioned above (vice grips, press clutch to floor, compress 2 loops of the spring, and wiggle towards the break petal)...
  14. 3.7 Owner's MPG Report

I ran my first road trip with mine and got a constant 7.3L/100km (32.22MPG) calculated by hand. For a v6, manual transmission, and 3.55 rear end, I can't ask for more. She's not even broken in yet (has 600km on it... 372 miles). Looking forward to what the future holds with this beauty. (87...
  15. Mustangs completed production on or after 4/13

I took delivery on May 7th... she's a beauty. First road trip over the weekend and I got 7.3L/100k (32MPG) on average (between 7.0 and 7.6 (33.6MPG to 30.95MPG) calculated by hand. With the 3.55 rear end and the manual transmission, you can't ask for much more out of a big v6 :)
  16. New Mustang!

the black is very nice. I went with Guard just on how it struck me... the lines of the car really stick out and it gives it a nice colour trick in different lighting conditions
  17. New Mustang!

Just took delivery on mine I love the v6... best decision ever made. I also love the 3.55 gears.. lots of pull. It is such an under-rated motor. The clutch takes a bit of getting used to (coming from a 2014 focus) and first gear is torque-y as hell, but a few days of driving and it'll be just...

  19. Mustangs completed production on or after 4/13

Awaiting shipment for mine. Blend Date 04/17. Traveling by Rail to Ontario Canada.
  20. Wanted: 50th Anniversary Grille

Yup. His price plus a bit extra for shipping to Canada... but still over all it is significantly cheaper than buying a grille from Ford here... saved well over 500 bucks. The mustang community is one of the best on the planet. So glad to be back in the family! Started with my first car 1986...
