  1. Best way to sell local

***This isn't a for sale ad. Yes, I'm selling but I'm looking for advice on how to sell to local folks.*** I have some parts I want to sell but they are almost all too big to ship (at least not economically). Yard sales almost never work as these are very specific parts. Forum is bad because...
  2. Best way to sell parts local?

I have some parts I want to sell but they are almost all too big to ship (at least not economically). Is there a good place to sell these where there are S550 folks looking to buy parts? Stuff I'm selling: Set of MMR wheels Anderson Composites GT500 bumper and fenders Verus Engineering diffuser...
  3. Why does this look weird?

What is going on here... Looks weird to me. Different pads but this doesn't look right
  4. Replacing/rebuild AP Racing ring

Time to replace my pads and rotors. My preferred mechanic isn't available but another was recommended. They never replaced the ring on two piece rotors. "It's not rocket science" was his exact words. I'm trying to reduce downtime/cost. I rather not leave my car on a lift waiting to ship them out...
  5. Frankenstein heads

Anyone seen data on what Frankenstein ported heads will add power wise? I'm thinking it's probably all top end gain with bottom end loss which means it will pair well with a CJ and high RPM cams. Though it's a guess since I've never seen anyone dyno a heads only swap. The Gen3 engine shootout...
  6. USAA was great.. Until they you need them

Short version: USAA used to be great, now they are a cheap insurance that doesn't deliver. Long version: I'm at my last straw with USAA and just wanted to know if it was just me. It's fine until it's not on and then it's impossible to resolve anything. House claim - utter nightmare...
  7. 2D rendering to 3D

I know it's difficult but are there artists who successfully transform 2D images into a 3D model? Not looking for lithopane or some sort of stereo optic effect. The objective is to take a very sentimental image and 3D print it into a statue

  9. Just the tip

I'm debating on whether to have a custom exhaust built for my car. It has some benefits but it requires quite a bit of stuff to work out. One item I'm debating on are 4 exhaust tips vs 2 exhaust tips. I honestly like 4, idk why but it just looks significantly better. Though the question is does...
  10. Are my nuts too tight?

I've anyways torqued my lug nuts on the ground. Was told since my studs and stud nuts are coated, they need to be torqued in the air. I realize they use a lower torque than uncoated but torquing them with no load seems counterintuitive.
  11. Custom carbon fiber driveshaft

I have been researching this for awhile and seen folks have asked a similar question but not in the way I intend it. I'm looking for a lighter driveshaft for my car that is going to remain naturally aspirated. I have seen the debate about whether or not an NA car needs/benefits from a carbon...
  12. GT350 coolers on a GT

Was watching AJ Hartman'S latest video and noticed something I have never noticed on a GT350: coolers on either side. Does anyone know how these connect on a GT350? Do the GTs have the same or similar mounting points? I'm really interested in details if anyone has them. Looked on Ford parts...
  13. Fluidyne warning: failed welds

I just spoke to the owner of Fluidyne concerning a leaky weld on my radiator. First, they don't back weld failures, it is actually excluded from their warranty. To quote the owner "Our experience is that weld failures are due to corrosion". Even if it is a workmanship issue, he will charge for...
  14. Review: AAD rear camber arm kit

This is a review for AAD rear camber arm kit This involved 3 people: installer, alignment specialist, and owner/driver. I'm entering all three opinions: Install: 2 of 5 stars. Installer admitted he was use to the shackle style installations. There was one part of the install that he couldn't...
  15. Steeda adjustable Pro Action shock servicing

Been about 35-40k miles since I installed my Steeda pro action adjustable shocks. Has anyone had to rebuild them? I'm curious when I should expect problems and have to have them replaced/serviced. @Steeda Tech JohnC maybe you have some input
  16. Alignment specifications for modified cars

Hey all. I had some specifications a long time ago for a good street alignment for modified suspensions but I cannot for the life of me find them. I'm not wanting anything insane (like -4* camber) and I am looking for full specifications (camber, toe, caster, etc). Does anyone have a complete...

    Doc has seen better days
  18. Camber and toe adjustment parts

Two part question. Found that one of my rear wheels had excessive camber. I'm debating between Steeda and BMR adjustable rear camber arm. I have read that one of these doesn't lock well and can allow unplanned camber changes. So the first question is how well each brand is as far as long term...
  19. Fire breathing Lambo

Felt like a little kid today. I have no idea what model Lambo it was but the owner was in the mood for some spirited driving. Under the overpasses, he would instantly hit high revs and pushed out a massive flame out the back. Felt like a little kid because I couldn't help but cheer each time he...
  20. Lund E85R tune

There was a thread not long ago talking about running E85R tune and made me want to run my E85R tune again. I loaded it and then reloaded my flex tune the next day. Not sure if anyone knows these answers but figured I would ask here before bugging Lund: Does the E85R tune mess with air...
