Really good to know. I'm planning to pull the trigger on this soon and I'll probably end up using 91 tune for daily driving with 93 in the tank. Plenty of 93 in Texas but I'll feel better just having that little bit of "cushion" in case the gas isn't as good as advertised and still getting...
Sound is subjective and ultimately up to OP to decide. He already mentioned he missed the way his 2006 V6 sounds and doesn’t like his EB sound. So he can have a preference even if you think both sound like shit.
Regardless most people are not recommending he switch and I’m one of them despite...
Sounds like due to various issues (though not the EB's fault specifically) you've fallen out of love with your particular car. V6 is bulletproof and you could probably get a 2017 one very cheap. Aftermarket support is limited, although that doesn't apply to you if you don't plan to mod (except...
You don’t need a lift. Jack and jack stands will be fine. You can probably even do it on ramps but it might be really tight. As far as space goes, you don’t need that much more space than a regular parking space. I did it in my garage on jack stands. Maneuvering the exhaust was the hardest part...
Did this a few weeks ago with a used f150 tb from eBay for $50. Cheap mod. I honestly can’t tell much difference though. I don’t think the stock tb is actually restrictive. Worth a try for cheap and easy enough to go back to stock if needed.
Any chance you can post a vid or sound clip? I actually recently got a stock GT catback from a forum member here, been waiting for weather to improve before installing. However I’m also curious what the mbrp sounds like on a v6 since it’s one of the most affordable aftermarket GT catbacks. Also...
Wow, that does look interesting. Not a huge fan of the physical buttons on the tablet though. I wonder how the android software actually integrates with the car. Wish they had a video
Unfortunately the MSRP for that unit displayed at SEMA was $1200, which I think is kind of ridiculous. At that price point it's just better to go with the cheaper and totally OEM factory MFT conversion. I hope they either lower the price when it actually goes on sale, or add a ton of features...
Yeah, I've watched your entire video Lein and while the taobao and tomtop systems are extremely similar in many respects, there do appear to be differences in the UI and software. Since I don't have either unit and am only basing it off videos its hard to tell which UI is "better".
Regarding...
Ah, I see. On the tomtop website it says it does come with an english instruction manual. Looking back at your previous post in this thread it sounds like you didn't get any instructions? Did you install it in your car before selling? Were you able to figure out the wire pigtails? Thanks.
Tyler can you make a longer video and go through some more menu options? Specifically looking for places where the software is buggy or has random out-of-place chinese characters. Again I have to say that it looks really good for only $300, not much to lose to try out one of these units.
Another source to get the chinese unit:

Looks to be the "cheaper" one where the bezel sticks out a bit. As far as...
Strip some insulation on your ground to get more exposed wire if you can. Wrap the exposed wire around a bolt attached to the chassis and bolt it in to secure it. I set up my dash cam the exact same way with fuse 36. I used a different bolt for ground that was easier to access for me (the one...
These will not require a tune but if you already have an unleashed tune you should probably ask Torrie to revise your tune after the intake is installed.
