yes, verified the order was called in "custom" i have spoke to Frank the owner and he is going to move forward and put the Foam in the new shafts also. It may take a little time for this come about.
Being you called they did install it in the GT350 (thats not the standard sticker) , the number for the Hellcat is right. if you PM me your name and the invoice number ill pull production records to confirm but from what I see here they are both Dampened.
The Aluminum shaft for the cars should have the Deadner, the Carbon for the GT350 will not (but we can look into it) from what our engineer is telling me is the 05-14 cars had more of an issue with the 8.8 and thats what they were doing the foam in. The Super 8.8 from the feedback we have been...
The shaft weighs about 23lbs with all the plates and hardware (some are quoting just the shaft so make sure you know what the "total" weight is) Weight is not the real benefit to a carbon shaft, here is some info we post about the subject. hope it helps.
material and Harmonics
you are...
Opps, sorry no we have sold about 20 of them but honestly not sure i have even put them on the site yet. no one has had a single issue. We have Lethal, American and few other top company's testing them for some time.
The shaft is 3.8" and a special wind or Modulus
maybe this will also help on what we do, its an older post but the info is good
Our Carbon Fiber Shafts are a bit different, due to the fact that we have decided to take our time and offer what we feel is the best shaft that we could make...
Like i had said some of the info was generic, but making it clearer for the S550 GT350 it would be as follows (i think i read its a 3:73 rear)
say 180MPH X 336 = 60480 x 3:73 = 225590.4 then divide by tire size (ill guess 28") would mean the shaft is spinning 8056.8 Rpm (@180mph)
The OP was a pleasure to work with, We felt confident the dimensions and info given was strong enough to make a test shaft, one more was sent out at the same time. may be a few days to hear from them.
We actually used a friends RTA for measuring Stereo sound in a Camaro 9" car we had done, It actually dropped 3DB changing from Aluminum to Carbon so yes, it actually is quieter.
I will say this, A driveshaft as a spinning mass is prone to outside forces. In the Mustang the force would be harmonics from the motor/trans ect. If the force was strong enough to break a weld or have long term damage it would be felt, no question about it. So what im saying is this, the shaft...
I will say the S550 cars did seem to have some sort of harmonic in them, when we 1st started making shafts for them we saw some Harmonic inconsistent issues and changed the aluminum from 3.5" to 4" and the carbon from 3.25" to 3.8" and this has cured the issue. We do balance the shafts at...
Hello Everyone, im Frank from Driveshaft shop and im here to help understand the info that has been given, sort out what what has been said and try to help what were doing will make sense to you. I was going to just start picking posts and answer questions but 1st ill post some info we always...
just an update, DSS axles
Just wanted to give you an update. Our 2015 5.0 ran a 9.94@137 this weekend. At full weight on a loaded car. Race weight was over 4k lbs. It was run on 18" drag radials and went 1.46 60'. It still has more in it, this was only the 2nd time on the track. Shift...
our axles have been ready for 2 months (both the 800 Hp and the 1400Hp ones), most dealers like Lethal and American Muscle have stocked already.
one of the members asked about some pix of the axles installed, i came across this install from SVT on the Lethal car...
