I completely agree that both are fabulous engines (and incredible cars). I am not sure how many GT500s have been delivered thus far but it can’t be many so still concerning to see multiple catastrophic engine failures happen almost immediately after delivery of a ~$100k car. The total problem...
Really glad this worked out well for you. A bigger question is what is going on at Ford that we are being so desensitized to start accepting catastrophic engine failures as common place? The 2018+ GT has ticking and cylinder wall issues and the GT350 and GT500 blow engines at alarming rates...
Good stuff. Cars today tend to be far more capable than drivers. Many (although still very difficult to be consistent) can get 9.9/10th in drag racing conditions but road courses require that level of talent for minutes or hours where a single mistake screws up the entire lap. That compounds...
While It doesn't make a lot of sense to me from a conceptual perspective, there is obviously efficiency and economy to be gained from doing so or they would not be on new cars. I also can’t help but think it may be more detrimental than beneficial to start the same car dozens of times a day but...
Most cars have a button to disengage the auto starts/stop. I have not figured out how to make it permanent so it is still a little annoying to have to hit that button evey time I go anywhere but there are worse things. The first time I ran into that “feature” was on a business trip in Europe...
This seems reasonable and feasible from what is known. The RS version of the 2.3 has already been developed, stress tested, certified and tested in production. I don’t know for sure but it seems logical that it would just drop into the existing Ecoboost Mustang package so as long as the rest...
I am kind of at a loss as to why people in the Mustang community feel the need to shit on other people’s parade just because they have different opinions or different life situations which makes their choices the best for them at this time. There are no poor performing Mustangs made today and...
I suspect this just comes down to simple economics. If all things were equal and the cost of purchase and ownership was identical (price, insurance, maintenance, gas mileage, etc), how many people would really choose the 4 or 6 cylinder over a GT? If you are on this forum, my expectation is...
The real irony here is that in just two short years there will be a similar thread between buying a leftover 2019 or spending more money for the brand new S650 when it hits the market as a 2020 model. Personally, I tend to plan purchases around major model changes so I special ordered a 2015...
I just received this from Ford. Looks like 2017 could be a possibility. After all, the Ford GT was kept quiet until they were ready to reveal it.
*2015/2016/2017 vehicles. $750 on most Ford or Lincoln vehicles. Not available on 2017 Lincoln Continental, Ford GT, Raptor, Focus RS, Mustang...
I just did an incredibly dumb thing and curbed the right front wheel and tire on my 2015 PP GT. Thankfully, that was all the damage but am now looking for a right front wheel and tire or other options that may be available. Please let me know if you have something fitting that you are looking...
Hi Chris. Looks like there will be another Meetup in Edmunds soon. That seems to be the best opportunity this far.

Hello everybody. I recently took posession of my special order 2015 GT Premium with PP in Deep Impact blue and also have a 1996 Cobra with mystic paint. I would like to get more involved in local events and gatherings where my wife and I can play with both cars and meet people with similar...
