  1. Mustang Hybrid Teased, Shows V8-Engine

Since i just watched A Faster Horse again yesterday: that engine bay footage is from A Faster Horse, around the ten minute mark. nothing new.
  2. What should we expect from a hybrid Mustang? An analysis

I would estimate a 20% increase in mpg. Somewhere near a 250lb mass increase. This is based on comparing the US CMax hybrid vs the UK non-hybrid CMax. Hopefully Ford can engineer out some weight from the current hybrid componets. What is interesting is what will they do for the transmission...
  3. 2018 Mustang GT Revealed (Video)!!

Ugh! A lot of it is probably driven by aero, and not the good aero, the kind for MPGs.
  4. Trans issue went to the dealership twice and was ignored

It shouldn't, and it has pissed me off big time when I had two different dealers tell me to bring it where I bought it. Finally took going to a 3rd dealer (where I didn't buy it from) to get the problem fixed. It might help and i was just a bit curious. Apparently with Ford for warranty...
  5. Trans issue went to the dealership twice and was ignored

Is this the same dealer where you bought the car?
  6. Clutch Spring Reduced Poundage No Pedal Lag -- Installed and Tested

If the OEM coil spring has 2.5 active coils and the wire diameter is 0.2" than the spring rate @ 2.2" free length is 335 Lb/in if they are using Music Wire ASTM A228, it is 329 Lb/in if Carbon Valve A230 wire. Seems like the ~150 Lb force is close. Not knowing the fully compressed length...
  7. Clutch Spring Reduced Poundage No Pedal Lag -- Installed and Tested

I was assuming the 2.20" length is the spring installed length, not free length (uncompressed). Was going to calc. Oem spring load.
  8. Clutch Spring Reduced Poundage No Pedal Lag -- Installed and Tested

What is the free length and wire diameter of the stock spring? and it looks like there is 2.5 turns.
  9. Cooled seats not cooling

Yes. Way back on post #570. :D 'Possible what you are calling a gel pad, is the occupant detection sensor for the pass. airbag. I know in the past the sensors have been a "bladder" type with a pressure sensor to detect if someone is sitting there.' Last edited by av99gt; 07-30-2015...

  11. Insurance claaim

Get the rear suspension looked at, and make insurance pay for a rear wheel alignment.
  12. Noise citation in LA

I have actually performed the test before we sent it off for official testing. As a tuner we replaced cat back, and than had the system tested. Possible gray zone though. We had people request the cert. since the police gave them a hard time. Now there is the law in CA that you can not...
  13. Noise citation in LA

Get FRPP to send you the noise drive by test cert. than go to court. Keep it in your car just in case it happens again.
  14. Cooled seats not cooling

I would not say they are lying to the EPA. They made a change to the design and carried it across different models. Now it seems like due diligence wasn't done, whether it was lack of engineering testing, driven by costing (ignoring engineering :) ), or believing the supplier on the operation...
  15. Cooled seats not cooling

I believe the OEM get cafe credits for using climate controlled seats bc the suggestion was people wouldn't be running the AC to cool down, so less gasoline being burned.... Funny that some of the statements used suggests that the seat coolers were designed to use HVAC cooling to help cool the...
  16. Cooled seats not cooling

Doesn't the bottom TED exhaust hot air to the floor boards, wont this suck up that heated air?
  17. Ford service has come through

Hopefully. I won't be ordering until I see a resolution
  18. ECOBOOST Strange noise from motor help

How does it sound in the engine compartment? It does not sound normal.
  19. Cooled seats not cooling

I've been lurking on this post since the beginning, this is really disappointing. I was really happy that the cooled seats were being offered with this new gen. The plan earlier, before this problem cropped up, was ordering around this time I was just waiting for some financial things to...
  20. Cooled seats not cooling

Possible what you are calling a gel pad, is the occupant detection sensor for the pass. airbag. I know in the past the sensors have been a "bladder" type with a pressure sensor to detect if someone is sitting there.
