I've always found the mustang to be an abhorrent car for the most part. 99% of the ones you see on the road are loud, slow, automatic, and driven by older ladies.
I absolutely love the 2015 mustang, though. First one I would ever consider (and actively want to) owning.
In case anyone wants to know, I found the best prices for Nokians on ebay. Of course, this was a year ago, so things may have changed. Those tires are fcking awesome, though.
Be smart with your money, man. Cars are an expensive hobby that can totally derail you financially. I'm doing pretty well for myself, I'm 25 and earn low 50's a year (just took a new job with a decline in pay :( ), and I have over $100,000 saved up in the bank. I still don't feel as if I can...
I can actually understand dealerships who do this. I'm positive if they knew you were very interested in making a deal, they would have let you. But you have to realize that tons of people see the mustang, thing it looks cool, and want to kick the tires with no interest in purchasing it. After a...
Honestly, it depends how reasonable your dealerships are.
I recently was selling a 2012 Infiniti G37. Fair market value for it was $22,500. A few dealers called me offering me ~18-19k, which I turned away from. I got a private offer of $21,500, that I was going to go with.. and then a...
Honestly, don't base your decision to buy a car on one 1/4 mile race. Who cares if the car lost? That means nothing to your enjoyment of the car. It's like when people read reviews and see car A is .2 seconds faster than B, even though they wanted B, now they're considering A.. you will never...
What's even the point of these conversations? Who cares? I could buy a camaro or a mustang. What's the point of bragging over a choice you made? So idiotic
Doesn't matter how much common sense you have, summer tires in snow is retarded. Heck, you don't even have common sense if you run summer tires in snow.
Welp, I wound up taking a job with a pay cut (down to ~50k/year) because it's much more manageable for me now that I'm going back to school for my MBA. I want the Mustang, but I think at this point/salary, I should hold off. Perhaps in a year or two I can pick up a used one for a better deal...
Erm, look at the 3 reviews you quoted. They all have the same opinion - the car is quiet. The only difference is the first two reviewers prefer a louder car while the third actually liked it for being quiet. You're not seeing a difference of opinion on the sound, only the difference of opinion...
I mean.. exactly what you just said is the point I was trying to make. Not hitting 440 hp is disappointing to you? I've got great news for you, then! Dynos vary - on some dyno, somewhere in the world, the GT will hit 440 bhp. Today is your lucky day!
Looking through this thread, I just see a bunch of... "If only this car were 100 lbs lighters" or "if only this car had another 20 hp".
You guys are all the nightmares of car designers. You're never happy, never satisfied. If this car had shaved a 100 lbs, you'd be asking for another hundred...
ITT: Why I cry myself to bed at night for not getting a comp sci degree.
I suppose I should've mentioned, my car is paid off. This is a very easy buy for me, financially. I could either put a few thousand down and finance the rest over several years, or just buy it outright with the trade. I...
I'm curious what GT owners on here do for work and what they earn. I only ask because I'm wondering if maybe I'm overreaching myself financially. The Mustang I want comes out to ~42k.. I only make about 62k/year, so it sounds stupid as all hell to spend that much of my salary on a car.
I can...
I can't believe there's actually a discussion about the color or opaqueness of the coolant tank, rofl. This is why car people tend to be ridiculed.. complaining about the most trivial of shit.
I'm trying to get my list ready for when I go to the dealer next week and tell them exactly what I'd like to order. I'm still dancing around a few options, like whether or not I need the premium package, or navi, or speed-sensing cruise control. All of those things I can deliberate on, but one...
