Wanted to get some opinions on the wisdom of installing an
aftermarket crank/underdrive pulley. Usually the stock one
weighs like 15 pounds and adds time for the engine to rev
up / turbo spool up. Aftermarket aluminum pulleys usually
weigh about 5 lbs which allows the turbo to start making...
Can anyone estimate what kind of 0-60mph time the ecoboost
mustang can achieve with a cold air intake, downpipe/free flow
exhaust, and an aftermarket tune ? When I had a 300ZX twin
turbo ( factory 300hp ), this "stage 3" upgrade put the car at
376 hp. I'm a little concerned that the ecoboost's...
Without a turbo timer, how does the turbo cool down when
the engine gets shut off after some hard driving ? Many turbos
from the 1990s failed from the lack of oil circulation after engine
shutoff...the oil would "coke" in the bearings. Wonder how Ford
addressed this.:shrug:
