This is true, looking at a friend's 350. I noted he had, prop rod & struts.
Asking why, answered sometimes, windy days the hood will flutter with the struts holding things.
Someone mentioned above closing the hood with both hands.
I like the strutless hood drop close. Hood supported from the...
Yes, removed the active exhaust, what's the question ?
First exhaust mod "X" pipe (power pipe). off with the factory AE.
Replaced with Roush cat backs, one angry sounding Mustang.
X & H are interchangeable part wise, not performance wise.
Interesting mounts with band clamps? A good idea, one could build the system out in steps.
Judging by the size of the muffler it is safe. To say they are louder than a stock set . ................. not that there's anything wrong with that LMAO
Yesterday, friend stopped with a vet just picked...
To the best of my knowledge ALL active exhaust are welded to the muffler. If they come complete with the actuator. I assume that would be part of the assembly.
Got tired of setting loud every time I started the car, so Roush fixed that.
New parts 500 miles old, need to be sold.
I think you would be well served starting in the lower RPM ranges.. To get the hang of it.
No lift means holding rpm, clutch (quickly) in shift, slide foot off clutch. I kind of doubt the stock shifter is going to make that very easy.
The idea is to maintain an RPM, get to the next gear...
30w in itself has a > long history < for reliability. Including all 4 stroke air cooled motors.
Castrol has always been my choice. If you ever have the chance to look at a worn motor in for rebuild. That used Castrol consistently. It will become real clear why that oil is so good.
NO it IS not....
The thermostat has a built in restriction. I am sure you have seen that, no ?
@ full open it is STILL slowing the coolant flow so it can dissipate heat as it travels.
Coolant entering the core is hotter from the block. @ the pump it has less heat.
Just the way it works.
My cap says 20w, book says 30, actually chnge to 30 before spotting it in the manual. Common sense the driver.
Pop a Wick filter on it, larger by design, not done a side by side Ford/Wick.
Because I use the brand regularly, it was noticed when I change it.
