I was going to say exactly this.
For those interested, go to Vorshlags site and search for Trigger.
Terry is a polarizing figure, but I absolutely love how much info he puts out there for us to learn from.
I just replaced my clutch MC after it developed a pin hole leak. Long story on cause. That said, the MC sits right above your clutch pedal, inside the car. Look up under the dash, find it, and see if it's leaking fluid. The leak/failure will occur inside the car most likely, and you will see...
It's not that easy. Sorry.
That said, I'd check every other connection point before I lowered the subframe. Endlinks love to make noise too. And even if you have to lower the subframe, it's really simple, if you have the right tools.
Honestly I wouldn't mess with CF doors if I'm not doing a full cage. Now if only trailering a car to an autox event, that's a different story. But I don't trust other drivers on the road to risk losing the steel protection of the factory door.
Lol, nah, it wasn't consuming oil between about 9000 and 12,000 miles. Then I started tracking it pretty much exclusively, and bam...glitter. But even though there was glitter, it still wasn't consuming oil. So there's that.😂
The Pro is where it's at for AutoX. I'd consider driving 10 hours for one before a normal tour event. Not having time to think is the best part!
Now, strip the car, I was at 3840 ish with me in mine and 3/4 tank. And that was with stock seats and no back seat, full interior. Apex wheels help...
Been a while since I updated this thread. I got the car back last night, and am in the process of installing coil overs. However, when I pulled the wheels (Apex VS5-RS, purchased in Nov 2022) off, I discovered a crack in my wheels.
I hit up Apex last night to figure out what is going on. One...
Might as well update this thread. 6.40 is the actual lap time. The article has some specs, but it's still silent on the biggest question, what tires were run...
Life lesson, check your part numbers before install. One time I opened a box only to find toe links for an explorer instead of the motor mounts I ordered. I had everything tore apart before I opened the box.
Life lesson for me. Sorry you have to get it all taken care of. Maybe Steeda will...
Nankang CRS V2. They don't last particularly long before they heat cycle out, but they do hold really consistent lap times.
I always enjoy the fall off, it really helps with car control. But only if you have a Bridgestone, where the drop off is still really controlled. The old 660s it was like...
Finally watched both videos this morning. My attention span sucks, and his video and the production value of it, definitely kept my attention. There's some stuff I'd do differently, but it's really fun watching someone learn as they go.
Every time that car went up and down the trailer I was...
Well I'm trying to get away from any 200 tw for track time, but the CRS is really consistent. I have the 3Rs, and they take a minute to warm up, but again really consistent once warm.
TBH, the SC3s are a really good tire, consistent through the laps, and maybe a bit slower than the 3Rs, but...
Have you run the SC3R or even the 3? Or the CRS? They are really a great track tire. The 3 is very underrated, usually they don't get greasy in a 20 min session.
My take on the stones and vitours and other 200tw tire, they are an awesome AutoX tire, but they overheat on track quickly. It makes...
