How many miles, how do your ball joints look, tie rods, wheel bearings etc....sometimes new parts, including wheels, really highlight an existing issue.
Interested to hear what you find.
The problem with CAM is what makes it so much fun IMO. Like zero rules, just horsepower and aero. So basically unless you have massively deep pockets (not only for the car, but for seat time and the associated travel), you're really going to struggle beyond regional events.
Again, just my...
Do you have camber plates or another way to adjust camber? If not, I'd say that alignment is crap, and I wouldn't go back there.
If you are bone stock, your front camber shouldn't change. I'm pretty certain the bullit doesn't have camber plates stock.
I would start by looking at a new clutch. I know Mantic is way lighter, and engages close to stock. The Mantic is really light, to the point I am not a huge fan.
But whatever route you go, call them and tell them what you are trying to do. Don't believe the sales guy, but bounce what they are...
For track wheels, I'd run a 30 profile. But I'd also go with a minimum 305 tire.
Now if they are going on the road, where you have to deal with potholes, then yeah I might try and find a 35 profile tire and go to something a bit narrower.
He did a really good job with the video and the car. His C5 video is great too. Now I want to see him get his GT3RS he was shooting for. Hopefully a wrecked one, so he can rebuild that!
Owning effectively the same car, it was interesting knowing exactly what he was getting into, trouble he was...
It's probably your torsen, and likely normal. If everything works, no weird vibrations, I wouldn't stress too much.
There is a turn at Barber that is a decreasing radius where you apply a little throttle mid corner before braking and turning in. The pop from my Torsen as it locked back up...
Agreed. I mean my car is just about 9 years old now, arguably 10 in September. The BMS in the car is 10 years old. But the BMS in the ATX is relatively new. I can see the tech in each not being able to talk to one another. 9 years is an eternity in tech development.
It has a ton to do with draw. As long as you aren't engaging ABS, or the traction control, or tuning your mag ride, I think you will be good.
For me, the DSC controller I think threw a lot of power (Even if milliamps) at bits of the suspension, in combination with abs engaging and turning in...
