  1. Broken crankshaft

Here's my experience on the OPG noise, starting at post#11. I did detailed videos, and measurements after I found out what it was, along with the resolution from the MFG: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/check-your-new-upgraded-oil-pump-gears.144427/
  2. GT350 Dual Pump in 2015 Mustang GT

From my very basic research, the GT350 has 2 fuel pump driver modules, GT has one. I have yet to pull my back seat base, and see if there is a plug there for the 2nd driver module, or any thing to do with the 2nd pump wiring in the GT's fuel pump hat connector even. If not, my plans are to buy...
  3. GT350 Dual Pump in 2015 Mustang GT

Thank you for that Jackson, good read! But, I see the GT350 OEM dual pump wasn't in that test data.....unfortunately. I'm really curious as to what flow capability it has. On Whipple's website, under the 'fuel system' tab for the GT350 kit, they claim 1k capable with no booster or fuel system...
  4. GT350 Dual Pump in 2015 Mustang GT

Revisiting this, has anyone found the limits on the GT350's dual pump setup? Is there any information about the flow rate of the two pumps?
  5. Time to play, Favorite brand Plugs!

Denso 5340's (ITV22) here. 2.5 years, probably 150-200 passes, and 15k miles on this set. 9psi/91 with Boostane octane additive at every track event/race. Changing them out shortly when I do my annual compression readings, and also moving up the boost/adding Ethanol.
  6. No coolant in whipple reservoir. Help

^ This. Add coolant, and pay attention to how much you have to add. Mine usually takes 3-4 time of driving/topping it off to fully stay showing in the tube/reservoir you have there. Takes maybe an oz or two each time, then eventually stops dropping. On my initial install/fill, after the 1st...
  7. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

Anytime. It was a hot one! 100+ at all tracks all week, with 2 days being drive and drag days.
  8. FI System with least Heat Soak Issues

I do not have the data to back it as I haven't reviewed my logs yet, however, I just returned from Rocky Mountain Race Week, and we did 1 week of racing in 10k+ D/A (Bandimere), down to 3k ft D/A in Kansas. 109 Degrees ambient in Kearney NE at race time last week. Car didn't skip a beat, and...
  9. Whipple users and racing at various altitudes

I was running the 12.0 class. My 1st day did not go so well, we only had 2 passes due to the car count/time frame. I ran too quick the 1st pass with 11.92, and then dialed the power waaaaay to far back the 2nd and final pass, and ran 13.3! haha. The boost/gear feature of the Whipple tune is...
  10. How much power can a stock 2017 drivetrain handle?

2+ years of 643 RWHP here. Around 18k miles boosted now, with the car only seeing the dragstrip (and recently Rocky Mountain Race Week), with -0- drivetrain issues. Still running the stock Whipple tune. I do have the GT350 driver side axle shaft installed, passenger is stock. I run Mickey...
  11. Whipple users and racing at various altitudes

Happy to report that the car performed flawlessly racing at 10k+ ft/Bandimere/Pueblo, then back down into the plains in Kearney NE/Great Bend KS with no problems whatsoever. I did have to drop 2 pulley sizes to get the boost back up to 9-10 in Denver/Pueblo, but that was all I had to do. This...
  12. List of all bolts that need replacing for 2017 OPG and Tensioner changes (GT 5.0 Gen 2)

Exactly, it's a liability issue. The OEM won't back you up if something unfortunate happens after the vehicle leaves the shop if you did not follow the published procedures provided in the OEM repair manual. Example: You Loctite instead of replace caliper anchor plate bolts, vehicle leaves...
  13. List of all bolts that need replacing for 2017 OPG and Tensioner changes (GT 5.0 Gen 2)

Correct. They get replaced, Every. Single. Time. As far as holding up a job, very rare. We keep most SKU's in stock, and bolts take up minimal space shelving wise so it's not that hard to keep nearly everything in inventory, not to mention a lot of models share the same hardware, so it's not...
  14. List of all bolts that need replacing for 2017 OPG and Tensioner changes (GT 5.0 Gen 2)

It's tightening up pretty good on the dealer side over the one time use stuff.....to say the least. Chargebacks in the thousands over a few bolts gets dealer attention REAL fast.
  15. List of all bolts that need replacing for 2017 OPG and Tensioner changes (GT 5.0 Gen 2)

Not at this dealer. Any part that is put on, and the one time use hardware isn't replaced, effectively has no warranty from Ford. Additionally, if this is done under any type of warranty and Ford pays the bill, and they find out, that dealer is in some serious trouble. I have seen entire...
  16. Whipple stage 1 vs stage 2 dyno results - 2018+

My best pass to date is [email protected] Unable to leave much above idle, and roll into the throttle. With a set of tires that have a sidewall, maybe 10.9 would be possible. This is at 1850 ft elevation, corrected DA of 3200ft give/take. Around 7.8-8.3 lbs of boost.
  17. Whipple stage 1 vs stage 2 dyno results - 2018+

Mine is a '17/A6 car, so the results would be slightly better on a 2018+ GEN3 5.0L. I dyno'd 643 at the wheels (stage 1 750HP kit), car was bone stock otherwise, all stock exhaust, ect. This was also with the out-of-the-box supplied Whipple tune, with 1/2 can of Boostane additive on top of 91...
  18. What tires are you guys running?

NT05's here, not the R's, in a 305 width. Runs 1.7's 60' at the strip leaving off idle, hooks in 2nd onward full power on the street above 70 degrees ambient. They wear great, usually last a year to a year and half with about 100 dragstrip passes during race season, plus street use. Never...
  19. KillerChiller OP

I installed one of these on a Lightning about 12 years ago. Truck is a track-only bracket truck, still racing two tracks to this day. No problems whatsoever, and works awesome. You can get the intercooler water into the 60's on a 100 degree ambient day no problem. Charge wise, you just have to...
