  1. will there ever be a power flat top convertible top mustang like a camaro or corvette

I'm struggling to understand what we're talking about. Do you mean a hard top? If not, then can you please give an example of a car that has what you want, so I can Google it and see what you mean?

Regarding the sudden loss of the ARM, it happened to me once. I was reversing, everything was fine, when all of the sudden I lost the back-up camera. When I started driving forwards I noticed that the current gear wasn't displayed inside the tachometer anymore, and the ARM wasn't working. I...
  3. 2019 Mustang GT (Manual) auto rev matching

I'm not trying to convince anyone. After all, just a few days ago I was in love with the ARM and didn't think I'd ever turn it off. I'm merely pointing out that there's no such thing as a free lunch. The ARM is lovely but it's not without drawbacks.
  4. 2019 Mustang GT (Manual) auto rev matching

Of course. It will come back, eventually. But on the odd occasion that your buddy asks for your help and you need to drive his car, and you drive it like a complete rookie, jerking on every upshift, it is annoying and embarassing. And the fact that it would eventually come back after a while if...
  5. 2019 Mustang GT (Manual) auto rev matching

Yes, it is. Until you get in another car and discover that you can't drive it properly.
  6. 2019 Mustang GT (Manual) auto rev matching

Rev hang has nothing to do with the cats cooling off. There isn't much cooling going on anyway. It's for emissions purposes. When you take your foot off the gas pedal there is still some petrol in the intake manifold. If you allowed the incoming air supply to be cut off abruptly, this petrol...
  7. Rented an Eco-boost...

I'm pretty sure that a rental EcoBoost would be much, much faster than my GT.
  8. 2019 Mustang GT (Manual) auto rev matching

It's still there, no doubt about that, but without the ARM it seems to be within reasonable limits. I mean, it doesn't seem to be worse than other contemporary fuel injected engines that I've seen. The ARM makes it worse.
  9. 2019 Mustang GT (Manual) auto rev matching

Now I understand why so many people complain about the rev hang. This isn't rev hang; it's the ARM. Sure, there is a bit of rev hang, like there is in all modern fuel-injected engines, but nothing out of the ordinary. It's actually the ARM that augments it to an unpleasant (for some) level.
  10. Dash rattle

Nope. Doesn't work. I can hear them clearly and separately from the music at any volume that I would consider bearable. I'd have to turn it uncomfortably loud to cover them. Besides, there is always a bit of silence between songs, no matter how loud the volume might be. It also doesn't work if...
  11. 2019 Mustang GT (Manual) auto rev matching

Well, I'm happy to report that my upshifts are now perfectly fine. :sunglasses: It seems I still know how to do it. Phew! :whew: Downshifts are also fine(ish), though a bit of work is still needed there. I know what happened. I didn't have any trouble with any of my previous manual cars. But as...
  12. Dash rattle

Another source of rattles (actually, it's more like a buzz than a rattle) is the silver border of the instrument panel trim. This is on my to-do list, but I keep procrastinating because that trim seems to be very difficult to get to. You must remove a lot of things before you can even think...
  13. 2019 Mustang GT (Manual) auto rev matching

Yeah, but all F1 cares about is winning the race by any means necessary. Driving pleasure isn't one of its goals, not even by far. :)
  14. 2019 Mustang GT (Manual) auto rev matching

Exactly. The ARM takes care of that, too. It's unbelievable how much the ARM really does. You'd think it's just a flick of the throttle when the shifter goes through the gate, but actually it's so much more than that. I used to take pride in my smooth driving, but now I've come to realize it was...
  15. 2019 Mustang GT (Manual) auto rev matching

I think I spoke too soon. I had no idea just how much the ARM was still helping both on upshifts and on downshifts. When I turned it off... disaster! The double clutch per se works fine, but everything else is a mess. You'd think that all the ARM does is a short blip of the throttle...
  16. best wax ever

Any experience with Collinite 845? I'd like to give it a try, because it has good reviews and seems to be economical and easy to apply. I have no experience with waxes (except using post-wash spray types, but that doesn't count). I'm planning to use a clay bar first, then to follow up with 845...
  17. 2017 Mustang 5.0 3rd Gear Grind

My guess is the clutch doesn't disengage completely. The "normal because it's a twin disc clutch" thing is bullshit. It's anything but normal, and the number of discs has nothing to do with it.
  18. Dash Plaques For GTs

Make it up. Who's gonna know?
  19. Bugs on Radiator

Easier said than done, sadly. :frown:
  20. 2019 Mustang GT (Manual) auto rev matching

I tried that, and it does work quite nicely. Thanks. :like: During the last few days I tried to double clutch on every downshift. It's really awesome. As long as I avoid shifting while braking, everything works great. I use the ARM to gauge how well I'm doing - meaning that I consider it done...
