  1. Ford Performance Tune for 2018+ GT

I'll be interested to see the dyno graphs too. It's odd you said the before and after graphs were basically on top of each other except for a small loss up top yet you feel a power increase in lower RPMs and normal driving. Would think that power increase would show on the graphs. Maybe it's...
  2. 1/4 Mile Fast List 3.0

Thanks! Updated the list with the info.
  3. 1/4 Mile Fast List 3.0

Nice work on the PB! Any idea on the DA or race weight for that run? What rear gear do you have?
  4. 1/4 Mile Fast List 3.0

Great time! I updated/corrected the mod list.
  5. 1/4 Mile Fast List 3.0

Awesome time! Did you make a pass on the 3.6 pulley? If so, I'm curious what you ran.
  6. Effect of light weight wheels and tires on acceleration

To answer your question, yes, I plan to keep the body stock. At the track, I run a 26" tall bias ply DR on a 17x9 wheel and at stock power level, they hook well (1.79 60' on stock tune).
  7. Where’s the Sun

Dry but overcast skies make for some really good conditions for car photography.
  8. wheel hop on 1-2 shift, what can I do to fix it?

Yeah, seems some cars, no matter the suspension/chassis mods, still have some hop when traction begins to break down. It's not like the solid axle cars that just spin steady.
  9. wheel hop on 1-2 shift, what can I do to fix it?

Wheel hop is a result of traction loss. Sure up traction and no more wheel hop. I can launch on a prepped track on a mediocre tire and I get wheel hop on my NA A10 on 1-2 shift. Same track on a 17x9 wheel with bias ply DR and no spin, no hop.
  10. wheel hop on 1-2 shift, what can I do to fix it?

I agree, Tires are the key here. The 555riis are a good street DR but at that power level, you need something stickier like a MT ET Street R on a 17 inch wheel.
  11. What will it run?

With your HP level knowing the track will be marginal prep, you will probably need to lower them as much as possible with a smokey burnout in hopes of hooking them. Are these on stock wheel or on a dedicated 17inch drag wheel?
  12. What will it run?

    From MT site, 14-18 psi.
  13. Effect of light weight wheels and tires on acceleration

Yeah, that is another question I had was if the real world difference was enough to even account for normal variance. The last time I got 2 clean runs at the track back-to-back, 60' and 1/4 mile ET were within 1/100 of a sec and MPH difference was a few 1/10 of a MPH. Any change in that window...
  14. LUND racing divorcing SCT tuners

Beautiful car! 10 second N/A is my goal without major weight reduction. E85 tune is next performance mod I have planned. Not sure from there.
  15. Effect of light weight wheels and tires on acceleration

C&D numbers, or any magazine, should be taken with a grain of salt but it was just about the only test of that nature I could find. Everything else is mathematical calculations, theory, "feel", and tribal "knowledge". I'm also not interested in dyno numbers. I may have to invest in doing this...
  16. Effect of light weight wheels and tires on acceleration

Yeah, I agree, I wish I could see the data behind their testing. The archived article I found from C&D did not include the actual data nor did it say anything about swapping wheels as the rest or like @NightmareMoon said, just took as an apples to oranges comparison with different tire compound...
  17. LUND racing divorcing SCT tuners

Every tune I had for my 2006 GT (3 different tuners over the years) was locked for editing. That doesn't bother me at all as it's their intellectual property. However, I don't like the idea of the PCM being encrypted where if the tuning device fails, I can't flash it with a new device/tune...
  18. Is this a good time?

OP said he tried 25psi, spun some, then tried 17.5psi but didn't do any better. MT site recommends 14-18psi for those tires at the track.
  19. Effect of light weight wheels and tires on acceleration

I found a post on corvette forum about a C&D magazine article covering a comparison of the GT350 and GT350R. I could not find the actual data from that article direct from C&D but this is what the poster said from back in 2017: "C&D magazine articles credit the CF 18-lb GT350R wheels for...
  20. Is this a good time?

Given your DA and IAT, I agree, your 60' is slower than what should be expected with MT ET Street SS. Sounds like you are launching as high as you can. Are you spinning or bogging on the launch? What is your burnout procedure?
