    To answer your question, yes, I plan to keep the body stock. At the track, I run a 26" tall bias ply DR on a 17x9 wheel and at stock power level, they hook well (1.79 60' on stock tune).

    Yeah, seems some cars, no matter the suspension/chassis mods, still have some hop when traction begins to break down. It's not like the solid axle cars that just spin steady.

    Wheel hop is a result of traction loss. Sure up traction and no more wheel hop. I can launch on a prepped track on a mediocre tire and I get wheel hop on my NA A10 on 1-2 shift. Same track on a 17x9 wheel with bias ply DR and no spin, no hop.

    I agree, Tires are the key here. The 555riis are a good street DR but at that power level, you need something stickier like a MT ET Street R on a 17 inch wheel.

    With your HP level knowing the track will be marginal prep, you will probably need to lower them as much as possible with a smokey burnout in hopes of hooking them. Are these on stock wheel or on a dedicated 17inch drag wheel?

    C&D numbers, or any magazine, should be taken with a grain of salt but it was just about the only test of that nature I could find. Everything else is mathematical calculations, theory, "feel", and tribal "knowledge". I'm also not interested in dyno numbers. I may have to invest in doing this...

    Given your DA and IAT, I agree, your 60' is slower than what should be expected with MT ET Street SS. Sounds like you are launching as high as you can. Are you spinning or bogging on the launch? What is your burnout procedure?
