I don't really care what people think I can afford or not, because money isn't an issue. I was mainly thinking for a car that isn't driven that much to have $1500-$2000 tires on it seems like a waste. Maybe some people don't see it that way. I will probably wind up using Falcon's but saw this...
Thanks for the replies. I don't know why Nitto is say hated on, I have ran 555's for years on multiple vehicles with no issues. Have them now with no issues. But it's good to know the Atturo are good.
So I ordered new 20" wheels for my S550 and now I am shopping tires. I know the usual brands, and am a Nitto fan through and through. But I don't daily this car, hell, I don't hardly drive it to be honest. It's over 2 years old and doesn't even have 7,000 miles on it. I will be running 275/35...
My stock 19's had 255/40 on them I believe. My D5's are 255/45/18 up front and 295/45/18 on the rear which is super tall. It gave me the look I was wanting. Now, I'm getting away from the drag look. But I'm pretty sure the stock tires were 27.05" tall.
I am finally going to switch it up on the S550. Swapping the D5's for some new 20's. I won't divulge the new wheels yet, as they are in the works and a new wheel for 2025. I won't even have them until December of this year. But they will be 10" on the front and 11" on the rear, and fully forged...
I'm not running LTH but I do have an H Pipe into Factory Active Mufflers and in track mode it is plenty loud for me. But don't be fooled, even with the H pipe you will still get a lil rasp. It's not as bad as the X, but it is still there.
yes there are medical exemptions, but you have to read them closely. I can't speak for anyone's exemption except NC's. There are certain things that HAVE to be done or it can still be failed.
Actually that is a big misconception about tint for your windshield. I tinted for 15 years before I retired almost 2 weeks ago. Even the best full ceramic film on the market, and I will go on record as to say in my opinion that would be 3M Crystalline, will not reject the amount of heat/sun...
Yeah all the TW products out now are waaaayyyyy better than they were when our Dad's were using them. I have tried most other name brand products out there and for the money and ease of application TW Seal and Shine is among the best.
This is hands down the best Turtle Wax product out there. I have been using it for years. I don't use it as a drying agent, but for slickness, shine and longevity this can't be beat at it's price. You can find this at your local auto parts store for anywhere from $7-$11 a bottle. It will streak...
I have seen plenty of ESR wheels on Mustangs and various other vehicles and have always liked them and thought they were a quality wheel. I almost went with them myself but they didn't have the look I was going for. That being said, I wouldn't be happy with these. Something just looks off, can't...
haha, no.
The only reason I knew they existed was because my co worker had his 2016 lowered and it had that tram line feeling in the ass end when accelerating. Took it to the same guy and he knew exactly what it was. Installed these and it went away immediately. So naturally I got them for...
When lowering you need these to properly align the IRS subframe. If you don't use these some or most cars can/will feel like they are walking or tram lining as y'all called it. But if his car isn't lowered they may not be needed unless the IRS wasn't aligned correctly at the factory. I was told...
Yes, if you lower an S550 without these you will get the same effect from the rear end. It will feel like it is walking at certain speeds and roads. But since the OP's car is stock, these won't help. Not sure what his issue is but mine didn't do it on stock tires.
So I am about 95% sure I am going to have my '22 wrapped. I am absolutely torn on the color though. I have the factory BAP and I plan to leave the top and mirrors black but I will also have the hood and trunk wrapped gloss black as well. I was going to wrap the rest of it in a Nardo Gray or...
