    Well without getting into that too deep its ok. Improper bodyshop work is way different than some alone time in your garage. However thats ok if you are not confident in the job at hand. Try and get some decon soap, then iron remover and then auto scurb...should be about as clean as she gets...

    Think of it like you are locking in the imperfections with the coating. so why would you not want to make the car perfect before "sealing" up the paint. You will notice the difference.

    Mike try and take that arm off that unit. Cup Your hand around the top of the unit. More control and allows a bit of pressure

    Awesome good start. Polish.. Get sonax perfect finish. It's a good mix of cut and polish. Great for beginners. Pads buy nothing but RUPES. For that car I would do yellow or white. You will need at least 3. Most likely 5.

    There is a new product called auto scrub thats better than clay. Not as harsh. Its like a soft rubber. That car wont need clay. However it might need iron remove if it came by rail.

    And yes prep is more important than the coating. Are you going to paint correct/polish? Decon soap, iron remover, clay bar, dry. I that order. Do wheels First.
