So here's another wiring update. Spent a lot of hours drawing everything out and designing what I wanted. I transferred all fuses and relays to this Bussman Fuse Block. Since I have wires coming over from all over I decided to work from the fuseblock back to the rest of car. Wired everything...
Doing a th400 swap as we speak and using an m&m co2 shifter. I want to use the upshift paddle to activate the Mac valve. My plan was to use a negative triggered relay to activate this pin/wire. But then I got thinking, isn’t this oem circuit 5v? If it is, couldn’t a regular 12v negative...
*Wiring Update
So I decided to remove every bit of aftermarket wiring Ive added over the years with all the relays etc. As you can tell from the pics there’s a lot! Instead of relays ziptied all over the place, multiple splices and spaghetti of wires Iwant clean and simple.
So out with...
Thanks a bunch for the extra info and diagram. I’ll print it out and toss it in the binder. For now I decided I’ll just cut the harness closer to strut tower (besides o2) and seal off the ends. I’m guessing that will be fine right? Next time I have the engine out I’ll revisit this and do the...
Little update.
Pulled out my 6rStager, unhooked relay that was spliced into my pcm and reconnected everything back to stock.
Interior pulled apart, cut the tunnel to accept new shifter, pulled out the ebrake handle that I used as a chute release. (New idea happening here ;)
soooo much wiring...
In the middle of a th400 swap and since the pcm will be reflashed to a manual car id like to de pin and get rid of all the 6r80 wires that I won’t need.
Anyone happen to have a diagram showing which pins to remove?
*I am not buying a manual engine harness because I’m up here in Canada and that...
Ya man…. Say you put $80k into your car over the years, that means I put $160k.
It’s absolutely insane and by far the worst financial investment. But smiles per gallon right… Lol
Oh gotcha ok. Ya I’m not swapping harnesses so I’ll probably tear it apart enough to cut off a few feet of it. First I’ll tear apart the loom to free the front o2 sensor that’s bundled in I guess.
Oh ok wasn’t sure if it was the same or not but good to know I’ll be able to make those bends.
Where did you ziptie the old trans harness out of the way? Happen to have a pic of that?
*Update
I finished building and pressure testing the lines so now the coolers are all mounted, plumbed and wired.
I have to wait until the trans is installed to make the long lines so I haven't tightened or secured anything yet.
Got to say though, I'm pretty happy with the turnout so far. :)
That's perfect thanks. Your line is ptfe nylon braid and i have the gloss shielding, its pretty stiff stuff. lol I'm not sure if yours has the same lack-of-flexibility?
What’s edited? Lol
Also looking for pics for ideas on how people ran the cooler lines from the fans to trans…. ie. above irs cradle then ran along bottom of gas tank since can’t fit in DS opening? Want cleanest possible way. Since I’m using all Ptfe line which doesn’t like sharp bends and I’d...
That just shows you how I’m going to connect my reverse camera/lights so all fully functional, plus and add a clutch switch. No the car won’t automatically know what gear I’m in since I have to get the turner to reflash the pcm to make the car think it’s a manual like Toro said. I have to wire...
I have a pretty good relationship with Circle D, they've went above and beyond for me multiple times in recent years and make a quality product. Here's the most recent example, when I hit him up and explained to him that I was making the swap to a TH400 he said "send your converter back, we'll...
