@ZeroTX Maybe I need to clean-up the lens. I have never buffed the lens in all of 7 years. I will report back once I do that and see if the brightness is back to what I think it should be.
Maybe I got used to the brightness and looking at newer cars with brighter lights has skewed by...
Hey everyone, I have a 2018 GT premium and I bought it new in Jan of 2018. Car has about 70,000 miles.
Question, is this normal for the light output to dim over time? I have a 2017 Honda Civic Touring with LED headlamps and it has 117,000 miles and it much brighter than my GT, and does not seem...
Hey everyone,
Need advice on what is possibly wrong with my 2018 GT (69,xxx miles).
A week ago the CEL came on and I scanned it using FORScan and it showed code P0420. I reset it just to see if it pops up again and within a few days of driving maybe 60-80 miles the CEL came on today. I...
I put in 10 qts and like you said it is in the middle of the two dots. Then I fill with half quart when it reaches the bottom half of the hash marks on the dip stick. This last oil change was in first week of July and the car had 67,240 miles on it. As of today I am at 69,580 and have added half...
Mine burns a quart of oil every 2000 miles. Not driven hard or anything. It used to burn half a quart every 2000 miles but consumption has went up over time. Car is touching 70k miles in almost 7 years of ownership.
No, not a performance pack. It is a GT premium with 20 inch factory rims.
I will have to get my lower control arms checked as well. At this point I get the feeling it is something in the front of the car causing this shimmy. It could be the front hubs, as I am starting to hear a more than...
Thanks for the update.
Good news, your shimmy reduced. Bad news, its still there.
Good luck with replacing your lower control arms. Hoping this will get you 100% of the way there.
I am honestly sick of this issue because I have tried a few things and nothing has changed. I do not enjoy...
I was told by Ford service that the reason for my shimmy was due to tires, bent rims, and lastly because of my front rotors.
Around 37,000 miles I had to replace all 4 tires which I did with Michelin Pilot AS3+. No real change in the shimmy. During this process, I asked the shop to check for...
Performing better than before. Still doesn't feel like it did when new. I will give it a couple of months and see how the adaptive learning works and smooths out the shifting. To be honest, I do not have high expectation from the 10 speed. The loaner truck Ford gave me, a 2021 Ford Ranger with a...
Yes, I believe they replaced everything except the transmission housing. If my understanding is correct, they did not get a whole transmission but rather all the internal hardware was replaced. I will know facts once I get all the paperwork.
Have had this shimmy since 1100 miles on the car, now at 67,000 miles and 6 and 1/2 years and still the same issue. No idea how to fix it either. Dealerships are of zero help
UPDATE: Finally got the car back after 3 months of wait. Never again am I going to go with this particular dealership/repair center for warranty related issues. They did not care about me at all whenever I reached out to get an update.
I have given up on Ford as a company. My car has been at Ford service center since March 30 for a transmission replacement and they started working on it this past Monday. It took dozens of calls and several emails to get a response and status updates. I have had other brands, Honda, Infiniti...
