  1. 5.0 Coyote chirp / tic on start up

I listed it earlier in this thread but with that said, the passenger cam phaser, cam phaser solenoid, and timing chain guide were all replaced.
  2. 5.0 Coyote chirp / tic on start up

    Yes, completely fixed.
  3. Spiked oil pressure after oil change

Good point on letting the oil warm up. I usually judge by the engine head temperature and that was up to full running temp.
  4. Spiked oil pressure after oil change

Thanks for the comments so far everyone. This was the 1st oil change with a little over 1000 miles on the car and oil. I used Amsoil 5W-30 Full Synthetic and a Ford FL500S Filter. The weird thing is the pressure went back to close to (pre-oil change levels) after roughly 25 miles.
  5. Spiked oil pressure after oil change

I just completed my 1st oil change and noticed the oil pressure was noticeably higher for the 1st 25 miles or so and then returned to what I would consider "normal" on my particular car. It seemed to be roughly 20 PSI higher across the RPM range. It had nothing to do with oil temperature as I...
  6. Rear HP spoiler rubbing paint on deck lid

I don’t think this is from closing the trunk. I believe its from the downforce on the spoiler while driving. Ford forgot to put the proper tape/foam between the spoiler and deck lid at the factory. Bad quality control
  7. Rear HP spoiler rubbing paint on deck lid

Does anyone have this problem? Looks like the rear HP spoiler is rubbing against the paint on the trunk deck lid and will eventually wear it out. If you have run into this, do you have a recommend fix? The pictures are not great but the 1st shows the area where the spoiler is rubbing and the...
  8. 5.0 Coyote chirp / tic on start up

That’s great news. Mines still running “silent” with no chirp!’ Let us know when you get the car back
  9. Ford Performance Oil Separator

Thanks for the reply. As it turns out, I broke it anyway despite trying to be careful with it! @First Stang, where do you get a replacement??
  10. Ford Performance Oil Separator

Thanks! I took a couple pics of what I’m talking about. The top left corner of the plastic wiring is just touching the engine head. I’m probably overthinking it, should I not worry about it?
  11. Ford Performance Oil Separator

Thanks for the quick replies. I did the hand tighten and feel it got it pretty close. I do have another question about the plastic wire harness mount, as I put it back on the front cover stud bolt with the oil separator bracket installed, the left "wing" of the bracket is rubbing against the...
  12. Ford Performance Oil Separator

I’ll be putting in my passenger side Ford Performance Oil Separator and the directions say to torque down the cam cover bolt on the valve cover. What’s everybody’s opinion on just doing it by hand? I don’t have a torque wrench, and don’t feel like going to buy one for this job.
  13. 5.0 Coyote chirp / tic on start up

Good luck and keep us posted!
  14. 5.0 Coyote chirp / tic on start up

Good point. I believe most of the people with this issue which is only present on cold start is on the passenger side. That was my situation
  15. 5.0 Coyote chirp / tic on start up

Same exact story I got. They thought it was the belt even after I said it wasn’t. They ended up changing the belt only to find out it did not correct the noise.
  16. 5.0 Coyote chirp / tic on start up

For what it's worth, there were no codes and absolutely no deterioration of performance, It was simply an annoying noise. With that said, it was not a normal noise and I felt it should be repaired, especially due to resale value. Someone that is not familiar with these cars would be very...
  17. 5.0 Coyote chirp / tic on start up

Just as an update on this topic, I ended up finding a dealer and tech I trusted and had the Ford Field Service Tech look at the car and they all agreed the noise was not normal. I asked if they were going to do work (open up a new motor with less than 1000 miles on it) please replace everything...
  18. Jacking rail question

Thanks for the input everyone, looks like I’m good without removing the seam sealer. One additional question, I’m looking for a brand that will be slightly below the pinch weld for protection. Seems like some are and some aren’t. Can you recommend a brand that does and you’re happy with. I found...
