After a year of ownership, I've officially sold my s550 gt.
It was a fun car and it was an awesome car I planned to keep for years to come but issue after issue just arose to where I didn't see it viable to pay out of pocket for repairs.
It was a 2019 and it had 2800 miles when I bought it...
I have a 2019 as well.
I would get motorcraft 5w-20 full synthetic my first year of owning my car. It was definitely noisier throughout the engine with it.
Ever since I had TSB 19-2140 dealt with and my mechanic adding 8 instead of 10 qts of oil, I switched to motorcraft 5w-30 synthetic oil...
Question about AFR, I know it's an old thread, just trying to get more understanding. My car idles at that normal range but when I was driving home yesterday evening from work, I noticed it would be at 12.3-12.6 when I was slowing down and just stopping then after a few seconds it would go back...
does your car still make this noise?
I see in the post above you removed the performance tune and knock went away, but how has it been since last post? Any new mods, any new tunes, etc?
Perfect reply, thank you so much for this. I wasn't losing sleep, but just want some ears on if it's a characteristic. It took me a minute to come to terms with the others but this engine is a beast under some good load. 👍
Alright here's a few others that have had same issue:

Here's just 2 sources. I saw another that seemed similar but videos were gone.
if you wear ear buds or headphones you should be able to hear it better. There's another video on this forum of the noise. My car is acting kinda wonky recently and this is one of the things I've noticed. I'll get more data and videos tomorrow.
I'll also repost the video I'm talking about from...
I've seen threads beforehand and I know that some people say it's normal, some don't know. I just need honest opinions and real cold hard truth from s550 owners.
I'm coming to terms that these engines makes loads of noises as I've made other threads. I just want to know actual info on why or...
I've heard of steeda bits and pieces, but man they seem like such a great company with the research I've done. I think the q850 is cooler and probably a better bang for your buck.
