What are the muffler tubing inlet and outlet diameters? What brand did you go with? I'm considering an axle'-back upgrade for my Mach 1 (already have a 3" system leading to the stock mufflers) and I don't know if the GT500 offers any functional difference? Thanks
Good luck finding a solution. My 2022 Mach 1 is just the opposite, the factory tune has deliberate rev-hang anticipating the up-shift RPM drop so it will hold too much RPM if I skip up-shift. Ah, the wonders of drive by wire.
Hopefully, someone with experience can chime in as I haven't experienced the "pleasure" of changing coolant on a modern Mustang, yet. I worry about trapped air but maybe I'm overthinking it.
Hope you find a solution. My Mach 1 butterfly valves haven't started rattling yet but I figure with enough time and wear, it's inevitable. My son's Corsa actuators are on their third design iteration, even resorting to a waved compression washer/spring at the end of the pivot pin (it's a...
The 10R and GM 10L family of transmissions are like any other conventional planetary gear automatic transmission so if you have the right tools to service the clutch packs and size the solid Teflon seals to aid installation, any experienced rebuilder should have no issues. I don't know the...
Yep, it's such a hassle with the HP's jigsaw puzzle of a plastic riveted splitter sandwiching the long undertray to the bumper. Please post updates on the ESS installation, forced induction is so tempting.
My son teases me that the rank amateur won't know how to drive a stick while a pro will just tow it. I've got much sweat equity invested in my car so I'll probably still try some type of theft deterrent just for my own peace of mind.
The 41.22 approach (image below) of replacing the OEM relay with their replacement controllable relay system seems overly complicated and fragile with too many points of potential failure. If I follow through with any type of circuit interruption, I'll try a similar but simpler approach of...
It appears the 2-pin pedal position switch's function has been relegated to only illuminating the green "ready" light on the starter push-button, as mentioned above. (It doesn't matter how that circuit is interrupted and it doesn't have any impact on cruise control function etc..) It's the...
Don't know how effective shields are with fat sticky tires but you could make your own or also try the small shields offered by DKs Garage on ETSY? The three plastic push pins should be enough to secure any type of shield under the fender lips or you can get creative and extend the taller...
Arent the engine and transmission are controlled by the same computer? A replacement transmission will communicate shift times to the computer and adjust the valve body flows and pressures to "teach" the transmission's shift performance according to your existing tune.
Speaking from past personal experience and time employed by Ford and GM, I'm surprised a warranty repair is even being considered. Post cats, no problem, but deleted cats and no one involved in approving the claim has said anything? It's not about what's right or wrong, it's about how can...
From my limited experience, the centering sleeves offer no functional benefit to the vehicle and they could even defeat the whole purpose of the "sloppy" factory tolerance range to properly locate the cradle-to-body positioning. My son's GT accepted all four spacers without changing the factory...
Kelltrac's Big Bertha through bolts are half price of Steeds's bolts and their complete kit is the way to go for a worry-free upgrade. Unfortunately, drilling out the factory bushings for the better bolts requires dropping the cradle enough to access the fronts. Do it once, do it right, and...
Demand a free replacement, it probably won't matter if you file down any "proud" material that could interfere with the pad but this is the kind of part that must be scrapped if dropped within Ford's possession.
