Funny cuz lund claims to refuse to turn off any codes that would mess with any type of emissions checks so in theory they shouldnt ever change that in your tune
I would believe neither
Coyote 5.0 doesnt have a boost sensor (map), only a maf. It uses different parameters to put into a formula which makes a boost number (the same way ecoboost does to show on the ecoboost dash gauge oem) so the tuner doesnt see a real boost referenced readout for psi
The...
Theyre great for the price, but hawk 5.0 are definitely stronger. Without tracking, in your budget id try the z26, i had them in my ecoboost with gt brake calipers, they felt great for 130mph to 20mph braking
Id look into some forum posts to do some research but off hand i know hawk makes decent pads, but theres a few brands people roll with which all are good
Z26 is good for a budget pad
Z26 seems to outperform the oem imo, and experience.
However there are definitely better pads, but arguably a single stopping event isnt going to NEED better
If you see metal in your oil in the drain pan, thats too much. If you see some collected from the drain plug with a magnet, thats fine, especially if you have a new plug and didnt previously have one. Some metal powder is normal, normal wear of an engine. The magnet really works well at...
They make straight thru non packed resonators, they typically do alot for drone and rasp but dont take much noise out
Muffler wise get a non packed muffler for max volume but the chamber from a muffler with some metel slants inside will help fix the noise a bit while again no packing keeps it...
Catless will always be loud and really give off the bad side of the coyote- however a hood catback (by catback i mean a branded set, or even just a mismatch welded diy resonator and muffler) will always quiet it down to a more managable volume while added alot of refinement. It wont sound like a...
Im really not knowledgable on auto tranny, but i think the codes do point to the valve body like brevin said, i would start with that and try to fix the tranny issues first; then see if the boost will come back, or if it really is not making enough boost
1. Focus on those codes, if you are saying everything runs well until they come up, car is going into limp mode and cutting boost somehow. Its possible some solenoid broke or is full of metal when the circle d converter went in and started to get alot of metal shavings
2. Get away from lund...
To make it sound better from a straight pipe like you have, you need to add resonators and mufflers. Of youre fine with just better sounding, stick on 2 vibrant ultraquiets on each side by the rear bumper, it will take out alot of the nasty sounds but keep a decent volume. If you want it to...
For me, 5w40 castrol edge euro works well, changes at 4500miles. Multiple oil lab results show it is perfect, any more miles would warrant 5w40.
Keeping in mind my driving is pretty harsh street driving mixed with chill highway cruising
Im not sure what the trans codes are, some of the 10r80 guys would know better, but that brake booster code seems to do with either a wiring issue with that sensor, or a bad vacuum reading meaning bad vacuum. Thats why i kind of link your boost issue to maybe be related to a bad vacuum issue, as...
