I always tell folks how fast I went through my PS4's on the front. In less than 15k miles I was going flat. Then the rears held up for 45k miles before I replaced them. Odd how much more ware the PP1 fronts have. But the Goodyear Exhilarates I bought have held up pretty well.
I would buy whatever has the thickest tread. I bought the Exhilarate Goodyear's because they have 500 ware tread. I've had them for nearly 20k miles and only went through 1/10 so far.
I always regret not getting the Magneride on my car. I had searched for a fully loaded with at least PP1 but at the time of purchase. I couldn't find one with MR but a few days later. POP. Found one with it. And always regretted that. I really wish I had it on my PP1 GT. But I've been impressed...
Well. I put away ALOT of money before being laid off for a house. So I'm cash rich. I just am getting a huge PTO payout and nice severance. So I figured It might just work out well.
Just for my own input. I bought the
Goodyear
Eagle Exhilarate
They have been amazing on Highway 17 and mountain rides here near Santa Cruz and San Francisco. I would definitely suggest these to anyone looking for high performance but a THIC tire ware.
I have, I think, 5 more payments left. 718$. But I just was laid off. Would you just bite the bullet and pay off the car or just try and make it work? I have 0.00% APR. And everyone keeps telling me not to pay it off because its free money. I just feel better if I would get rid of that payment...
I was thinking of buying off eBay. One of the other colored PP1 wings for my car. Maybe the Orange tail with the black body. Or the light blue. What are your thoughts on a different color PP1 tail?
wOOF $190 for each end. But I bet its worth it. I wonder if they can try and locate a possible leak source for some coolant I seem to be losing very very slowly.
Just a suggestion. From a fellow A10 owner. Have you had the fluid level confirmed? There's an issue with delivering the A10 transmission with a half a quart short on fluid. It helped me out once they added more fluid. Also, on the 5.0. I had an exhaust cam solenoid sticking that made a huge...
WOW! Thanks for this. I'm near San Jose now. So I am sure to give them a call. Hopefully they can throw on the front camber bolt much cheaper than the dealer was offering.
Just to ask. How fast were you losing coolant during that issue? I have to possibly fill 1 to 2 times a year if that. But thanks for your answer. I'm a bit worried this could be the issue. But the oil analysis showed no coolant in the oil. And I've never had a code pop.
I used to always go to a Goodyear shop in Monterey. But they told me when I called for the first time after buying the mustang. That only Ford can perform alignments. If the car has the self centering tech.
Were they correct and I can only go to a Ford dealer? Or do you take it to non-dealers...
