Putting a gen 2 from a mustang into a f100, looking to put a Whipple/e85 on it at some point in future. The tank I had built has dual aeromotive 340’s. 6an big enough or do I step up to 8an?
Since I went boosted and on e85 I’ve been getting a lot of the p316 which is misfire within the first 1,000 revs … taking it in to see if that’s just a tube and e85 thing …. Runs great other than the light popping on every once in a while
It’s loud as hell with cats. The exhaust was like it is when I bought it. Cats look old and rusted compared to the stainless exhaust. Not sure if they are stock cats or what honestly. I just boosted it recently and didn’t want to hurt the motor by leaving them if I didn’t need too
Finally got the fuel system and whipple installed and have been having fun running around town with it. Questions on things I’m seeing.
Current setup is
Whipple 3.35 pulley on e85 w/ fore lvl 2
Occasionally making a pull when it shifts from 2-3 it just losses all power. (A10). Almost like it...
That’s good to know, I’ve seen a lot of good comment on Lund too. Honestly I don’t have an issue with Lund. I bought a Ortiz tune from beefcake when I bought everything. And the shop installing my stuff highly suggested shoemaker.
I hadn’t heard that, I’ve heard a lot of negative about Lund though. I guess they all can’t make everyone happy. I bought a e85 tune from Ortiz as well when I got the kit, so I’ll prob have him do his own tunes as well
Wow yea good advice, I know at some point down the road I may have to cross that line but would like to not have to do that for a little while. I’m guessing the 700 on 93 power level is much harder on the motor that e85 at the 850+ mark.
I’ve ready a lot about mixing in a gallon or two of...
Honestly if I can get around 700 to wheels in 93 I’d be happy. E 85 I’d like to push 850+ if possible. This isnt my daily so if I need to throw octane additive or some e85 in each tank while on 93 that wouldn’t be a big deal. Just want to have the option to keep it not drivable from time to...
