The conventional wisdom used to be you needed a dyno tune because cars didn't have wideband O2 sensors built in. So the tuner would connect a wideband to your tailpipe and that let them safely tune fuel at WOT. The WOT condition is outside of the measurement range of a narrowband O2 sensor...
Swapped my homemade rubber fuel lines for some professionally made PTFE -6AN lines.
The ethanol sensor sits right above the driver side header and it gets very hot in that area. So I wanted to have some good quality heat resistant hoses.
@mejohn50 kindly told me all of the dimensions for...
Unfortunately since the car is manual you can't get the real advantage of a tune on this platform which is adjusting the transmission behavior.
I have a FBO setup with an e85 tune on a manual car, and the difference is not worth the money in my opinion, you'd be better off spending that cash...
Time to wake this thread up!
Many things have happened since I last updated this thread. The biggest and most consequential update is that I finally got a beater car to supplement the mustang. That has two effects:
The mustang no longer has to endure New England winters. It only had to see...
Trans mount insert was perfect for me, barely noticeable in my opinion. Haven't been locked out of gear since.
It just helps keep the linkages better aligned on the body mounted shifter. That means it all meshes better. Its just enough to fix the issue.
Upgraded shifter is a "better"...
The underlined line is impossible to prove legally. You'll be paying the bill in this scenario, so if you can't afford that repair bill on your own, relax on the tuning until you can.
It would be extremely unusual for an NA tune to blow up your motor anyway, but @lo-fi has it right. If you are depending on your warranty to make your car affordable to you, then it is best not to tempt fate with a tune.
Besides its not going to make that much more power unless you start...
this is toast he’s approximately 9. We got him at 19 pounds a few years ago. He’s still got fat cat brain, loves to eat, doesn’t love to think. He’s the forever baby
I love dogs too but we aren’t home enough to give a dog the proper attention.
Then unfortunately id bet you still wont be able to pass with the non fouler installed.
If the rear o2 sensors are not ready you'll fail for that, if your tune disables the rear o2 sensors (to avoid the CEL) they never go ready.
need to make sure this isn't a tune issue before you throw non-foulers on.
If your o2 sensors are "not ready" you will still fail inspection with the spacers. Do you have either P0420 or P0430 stored or a CEL on the dash?
something is up if its happening all the time, this isn't gonna sound like a good answer but you likely wired it wrong. Double check all of your connections, make sure that the wires you tapped into are actually what you think they are.
Easy test is to disconnect the amp and see if the...
I've had this happen and the solution is very simple, you have two sets of stands they're supposed to be identical but they likely are not.
Put the same color at the front of the car and the same color at the rear. So you have green on one side and black on the other, try green on the front...
