Who cares what others do with their cars? Same as others money. Don’t care what you do with yours and you don’t care what I do with mine.
I absolutely love tracking the R. It’s incredible to see what it can do and how it has so much character when driven hard. That makes me happy and I cherish...
Great suggestion! Just checked it and it looks good to me. Being that these came off a GT PP2 and I’d use them on my R, there wouldn’t be any detriment to performance right? I just assume that if they fit my wheel, they’ll deliver great performance.
Bringing this thread back to life as I’m considering buying a set of SC 2’s that a local guy pulled off his GT. 305/30/19’s. I want to put them on the 6GR R spec wheels I just picked up. I read the comments here about putting a 305 on an 11.5” wheel. Since this thread is from so long ago, just...
I used this stuff as well recently and was mostly happy with the results. First time application was a bit sloppy but after washing and the removal process I’ll likely have a more efficient approach to applying this. Overall I was happy with the protection of 2 layers, but I wasn’t encountering...
I went with those 6gr wheels as the condition of the was good and the numerous extra tires that came with it was a bonus. I need the front lugs resolved for my R. 6gr website has a set of lugs for $80 with caps. Seems steep. Anyone else agree?
Thanks for the comments guys! He showed me a bit of rock scrapes in the barrel which looked minimal. I’d rather see that on these wheels vs my CF wheels. But if it damages my calipers, I’d like pass.
Looking at buying a full set of project 6gr 5 spoke satin black wheels with 315/705/19 pirelli slicks on them. One tire needs to be replaced. 19x11 fronts and 19x11.5 for the rears.
5 x 114.3 (4.5) bolt pattern 24mm front offset, 55mm rear offset. seller also including a rear set of cup 2’s...
Hi guys, I’m curious if anyone here with a 2020 or newer 500 lives in Salt Lake area? A friend of mine is ditching his Miata and is ready for big bore stuff and the 500 is at the top of his list. But he’s never been on or seen one for that matter. So was curious if anyone might be willing to...
As a new R owner, I’ve shredded my my cup 2’s nicely and ready to slap on a new set that I purchased. Only question is who do you guys trust with installing tires on the Carbon Fiber wheels? Discount tire down the way has a touch less contraption but not sure if that’s something you all recommend?
I was driving my 18 R over to Arizona Motorsports Park yesterday around 9:30AM and happened to notice what must have been 20 or so GT350’s in a line up going opposite direction to me on the 303 highway. I’ve never seen so many 350’s at once and was just curious if anyone knew what that was all...
So I have a guy local selling his base GT350 wheels in great condition with Pilot Super Sport’s that also look greats $1400 asking price and open to offers. Would anyone feel that throwing these on the R for some street driving would be a bad idea and save the CF for the track?
This is interesting as I’m likely going to be done tracking my R come May as it gets too hot in Phoenix and events are too far and few between so I might consider street tires. I didn’t realize we could put those smaller tires on the CF wheels. Good to know!
Like the title says, I have found a local R owner who pulled his Cup 2’s with 600 or so miles on them and has had them garage kept in a warm climate. Production date stamp is 1018. Tires look good condition with no patches. $500 bucks for the set. Would I be crazy to pass these for track day...
Having a 2018, I don’t have the B&O sound system. When I was in the market for a pre owned R, I noticed that option on the new model years and it intrigued me for 2 seconds until I remembered how I never listened to music in the car when I had a 2017 350. I find it somewhat refreshing and...
I just bought an 18 R with 3600 miles. It is far quieter than the C7 Z06 I had prior. It has a bit of noise here and there but it’s negligible and I’m very keen on annoying noises.
I have to say today was the most enjoyable experience I’ve had on a track. Besides the fact it was my first time tracking an R which was beyond my expectations, the group of guys and gals today were all incredible to drive with.
Only 16 cars total and at no point was there more than 8 cars on...
