  3. NEW VEHICLE ORDER TRACKING

I know this is a Mustang site, but an F150 is related, so I came here to see if anyone has any ideas. Back in November I ordered an F150, and on November 12th I received an email from Ford giving me an order number and VIN. A couples of times since then I have went to the website to check and it...
  4. NEW VEHICLE TRACKING

Back in November I ordered an F150, and on November 12th I received an email from Ford giving me an order number and VIN. A couples of times since then I have went to the website to check and it has always given me a production date as the week of February 3rd. I just now checked and when I...

Here is a printout of 2019 numbers
  6. SUV RECOMMENDATIONS

I appreciate all the replies, and one mention I had not thought of is Volvo. We owned two Volvo sedans back in the 80s/90s and really liked them.
  7. SUV RECOMMENDATIONS

I may be looking for a new, midsize, AWD SUV. And although I could answer my questions with hours of online research, I am taking the easy way out, by coming here. First, I am a strong ICE adherent, so not interested in EV's or hybrids. And I am open to most any brand. One of my main criteria...
  8. TIRE GAUGE RECOMMENDATIONS

Click & Clack, that brings back memories. I enjoyed listening to on Saturday mornings.
  9. TIRE GAUGE RECOMMENDATIONS

The title says it all. I have tried digital gauges and prefer an analog round gauge. I have used the cheap ones, like the Slime brand from auto parts stores, and a couple of the Jaco brand. Twice I have dropped a Slime on the garage floor, and they are instantly about 15 lbs off, a very fragile...

  12. ORDER TRACKING

Thanks for the replies. I know this is a Mustang forum, but I ordered a new F150 yesterday, from a dealership. When I can get an order number or VIN from them, I can track it.
  13. ORDER TRACKING

In past years, when someone ordered a Ford product, they would receive an email notification that the order had been placed by the dealer, and then updates on progress until delivery. Does Ford still practice this?
  14. What do you think about my 2020 Bullitt?

Leigh_bullitt, how did you black the chrome trim? To me that is one of the best look, and I may want to do my Bullitt. I assume it is a vinyl which can be removed, but is a precut kit, or a roll you cut?
  15. GARAGE DOOR OPENER GURUS

That sounds like a good explanation. It is a model which has been out of production for several years, and may not be fully compatible with 2019 year model cars. It is an old screw drive and is much louder than my other ones, which are all new generation belt drive. It is time to change it out.
  16. GARAGE DOOR OPENER GURUS

The one that does this is an older unit, probably one I put in in the early 2000s. The other ones are much newer. Could be that the older one doesn't like company, like you said, signal interference from the newer ones. But I still am still puzzled by why it only drops out communication with the...
  17. GARAGE DOOR OPENER GURUS

With my home and outbuilding, I have four Genie brand garage door openers. One of them will occasionally loose its programming to my vehicles which are Chevrolet and Ford products. Each time, I can reprogram the opener easily, and it may last several weeks before dropping out again. When it...
  18. Turning off adaptive learning

I am not questioning whether any particular dealer can deny a warranty, but why would they? They get paid by Ford for the repairs, so it is just more service work for them.
  19. Premium vs Regular gas for track day

Some people have this opinion. They point out that today’s engines are equipped with knock sensors to adjust timing, and therefore allow use of lower octane fuel. And that is true. But I go by the following logic. If the knock detectors detect knock, and the engine controller adjusts timing, the...
  20. CD PLAYER QUESTION

Thanks, and if I had given it more thought, the shape of them might have given me a clue. I hadn't even played a CD in years, and my other vehicles do not even have a player. So when I discovered the player in this car, my wife went to an out of the way storage shelf in the house and found a box...
