I agree with these guys.
Based on my experience owning a combination of three S550 manuals and one S650 manual I conclude that changing the clutch spring out is a solution in search of a problem. These four cars include two GTs, a Mach 1 and a Dark Horse. And oh yeah, this was/is just before...
If you have enough money, knowledge, patience and wrenching ability (or know someone who does) I suppose you can do about anything.
But honestly as a practical matter Iād guess it would almost be an impossibility. Even if you got the physical swap done, getting the computers to speak the same...
Kind of a basic question but is it OK to use just a good quality blue painterās tape to mask off trim, badges, ridges etc. before polishing?
Seems like it would be fine but I just wanted to make sure.
Can only imagine that awful feeling if you started pulling up tape andā¦well, you know.
I realize that this wonāt be a very popular opinion here given that everyone has more exotic favorite products and brands, but Meguiarās stuff is not a bad jumping off point. And they pretty much make a product for everything. Bonus: they have tech support that will actually answer the phone and...
Iām not against the HP either. I have a ā23 Mach 1 without it and a ā24 DH with it. I love them both but Iām just a high spirited street jockey. I just personally wouldnāt let that drive the decision one way or the other. Truth be told in a heads-up street encounter between the two cars it would...
I have an old college buddy who has gotten unreasonably socially/politically biased in his latter years and constantly besieges me with YT videos that extol his point of view. Never occurs to him that I might or might not agree with him. I humor him with innocuous comments just because well...
Yeah Iām a little like this myself. Iāll watch either one to some extent if they happen to pop up when I do a search for something in particular but thatās about it. But Iām pretty cautious about āfreeā YT advice to start with. So honestly I really am not aware of what it is that many folks find...
My advice is to forget about the insurance until youāve decided on and bought a car. Theyāre two separate deliberations and if youāre letting one drive the other you likely shouldnāt be considering a performance Mustang in the first place. Get the car you want nailed down and then put the same...
Iām sure your treatise on VIN data is correct, and itās all pretty well known and understood. I honestly didnāt have the bandwidth to parse it all.
But itās not what the OP said. He stated the underwriters said his car was ātrack capableā. Thatās marketing speak and doesnāt normally pop up in a...
I guess I must be missing something here.
How did the underwriters flag your car as ātrack capableā? All they do is input the VIN into their system and it spits out a rate. They donāt do a deep dive into associated promotional material.
Iāve had seven new V-8 Mustangs of most all trims since 2020, maybe eight, heck Iām not sure. Still have three including a Mach 1 and a DH. I run exclusively in track mode so TC is mostly off. I get on mine too, because why else have them? And not once, not a single time have I ever had one...
Yeah I gotta figure out a creative [read: cheap-ish] way to get a little heat in my garage. Iāve thought about one of those Mitsubishi split units but Iām afraid to find out.
I sure do feel your pain on this one. Iām just one of those folks that believes in having as much accurate information as possible in front of me before making a decision. Good news or bad, just tell me the truth best it is known.
I used to joke that itād be better to be in hell than purgatory...
Accurate and timely communication makes the world go āround or brings it to a screeching halt.
Iām looking to buy a few things, maybe even at some point a new polisher or two and Iām getting some unexpected surprises. Like on a well thought of website ordering a particular polisher, waiting a...
Great body of work DFB!
Iām not deep enough into it yet to have tried many of these products but I can tell you one of his winners I totally love, and thatās the TRCās Rip nā Rag roll towel. Terrific concept and product. They even sell an XL version thatās a full 16x16 and 280 GSM, yet still...
