Mirrors unfold as soon as you start/turn power on , the engine doesnt necc need to be running . Install fairly straight forward , only need to tap into 2 wires , otherwise plug and play

Ran through a tank and can def feel a bit more grunt , 2 tenth quicker 0 -100 kph , mileage out the window though . Def going to get a flex fuel sensor and a tune for flex . 40-50 extra hp on full e85 , bit extra with Resonator delete and CAI to come

i made a knock off of the course mount with a strip of stainless and an old magnetic head of a vent mount , about $20 all up and 2 hours of time . Super clean look , cheap & easy . Few bends , drill 2 holes easy ...
Gt550's ' stones ' looks a good colour match tbh . If you are going to do a bit of a resto take a scan of the gastank sticker and you could get it touched up and reprinted fwiw
Some double strength vinegar in the gas tank for a while will get rid of that rust , rinse clean with water and a good blow out with compressed air and be right to go . I use vinegar for derusting old tools like pliers and the like , siezed up actions fixed pronto and looking good in quick time...
I actually got a price on Aluminium bar as well and it was about the same price as the stainless . Also aluminum a bit trickier on the fab as well with counter sunk holes etc . Also aluminium a lot gripper so not as good sliding over speed humps and the like . Sounds like you did yours a while...
They look great and I got a price on stainless but it was 4 times the price and the only advantage is cosmetic so i passed on that idea given no-one ever will see it bar a tech and myself
