  1. Strange chirping/squealing noise when warm

Sounds like an idler pulley bearing going bad. Not familiar with your serpentine setup. But they all eventually start to squeak like that. Have had so many squeak over the years that I actually keep several on the shelf. Might as well replace the belt while it’s off. Good insurance.
  2. Squealing/Squeaking from the engine bay. I think i know what it is but could use some help.

  3. 4G Modem Disabling Instructions:

    Exactly! Get over it.
  4. Recaro Seat and Road Courses

For occasional HPDEs, the Recaro seats with the Schroth 4 pt belts are fine. if you are going every weekend, a race seat with 6 point belts works better. But makes the car nearly unusable as a daily. So it depends on how much track time is in your future. But the Recaro seats are much better...
  5. Rear Tow hook or strap

    Old thread FYI: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/towing-question-for-gt350.182656/page-3#post-3685360
  6. Water in trunk -- 2021 gt500

The high mounted brake light gasket is also a known leaker and the water runs down around the windows into the trunk. . It’s an easy fix. There is a thread a while back on this topic.
  7. Ford dealer put in cheapo oil filter?

No known failures in GT350s. And only rumors in GT500s. Have yet to see any proof of such failures.
  8. Ford dealer put in cheapo oil filter?

Nope. One of those rumors that won’t die.
  9. Has anyone done a custom tune without hardware changes?

This is the GT500 forum. No auto trans around here.
  10. Cup 2 life and wear

Here in TX, I start at 28 cold and seems like 36 hot is the sweet spot.
  11. FL2087 or FL2087A

Fathouse made that claim once but only one pix of an improperly installed filter was provided. It was installed crooked and crushed by the housing. I circled where the nipple was imbedded in the filter. For the record, I don’t use any of those Motorcraft filters. I only use K&N in my cars...
  12. FL2087 or FL2087A

Utter BS. Same oil and same pump. All those filters work fine and there have been no engine failures in the GT500 due to filters. This old conspiracy theory just won’t die.
  13. Transmission blew

Another manufacturer has a much bigger issue: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a61708841/toyota-tundra-lexus-lx-engine-replacement-recall/# And transmissions too: https://pressroom.toyota.com/toyota-recalls-certain-2022-2024-toyota-tundra-sequoia-and-lexus-lx-600-models/#
  14. GT350 trivia

No trans/diff coolers, no carbon fiber wheels and no wing on the trunk. Tech Packs have big screen.
  15. Dealer installed FL-2062-AB12 oil filter

Neither version has failed on either a GT350 or GT500. One of those rumors that won’t die. Don’t worry about it.
  16. How many original owners are left?

Picked up on 31 March 2016 and have about 6,500 miles on it. Nearly all are to/from or on the track (COTA & TWS). No issues!
  17. FL-2087-A Oil Filter?

To my knowledge, have not seen a problem on GT500’s due to the oil filter. They all work just fine. I personally use the K&N version just because it makes me feel good.
  18. Archetype Racing - My Experience

Guess I’ve been lucky. Both items I ordered in Nov 2023 were noted as delayed. But in fact shipped out in a week. The packaging and quality was top notch. After ordering and receiving the wickers, I realized that stick-on mounting wouldn’t be the best option. So I reached out asking for the...
  19. AC compressor......again....

BTW: It takes a while from compressor coming on to build pressure to cool the evaporator. I wouldn’t assume that time lag is due to a delay in activation.
  20. AC compressor......again....

Just about everyone here in our local Shelby Club has shredded their AC belt or destroyed their AC clutch when they forgot to turn it off on the track. In several cases, the shredding AC belt took the main belt with it. Haven’t heard of the same problem with GT500 so far. Gotta be careful in...
